Hmmm cause when I load a roster file into it, the mod option is grayed out. Are you using Modio to mod or hex workshop? When I try hex workshop, scroll to the bottom, all I still see is a series of numbers and letters that make zero sense.
Thanks a ton for all your help. Any explanation would be appreciated.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Thanks a ton man. I'd really like to figure this out as this has the potential to be pretty groundbreaking. Might lead to sock changes for teams, real stadium names (Toyota Center instead of Rockets Arena or whatever they call it), etc. Good stuff.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
im tempted to try and fiddle with this thing also but have no clue what im doing. sock color and shorts length are the two things im interested in editing most. so if you guys run across anything that leads you to believe this might be a possibility please let me know.
can you use a datel transfer kit to export the files or do i you have to have a usb drive?Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Could you just take me through one example? For instance, say I want to change the Knicks Stadium name to Madison Square Garden. What am I look for? Something that says Knick's Arena and then type over it with Madison Square Garden even though that is longer than Knick's arena? Or what?

I am just waiting on 2k sever to upload my pics from last night and today . To show what i have been able to do."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
look for the arena names. you see coach names , then player names , nick names and names of logos and schools and then the teams. Then you will see the arena names and city. It has to fit a certain area. I couldn;t call it Madison Square Garden had to do M.S.G. not enough space. Toyota Center was good and didnt cause any problems.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Try something. There is an option to add additional bytes to the code. You can then type in the rest of the arena name. Not certain it works but it looks as if nothing is changing in the code and it is still all linked together to the right place. Right click and press insert. Then choose how many to insert.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
I think there is a limit to editing arena names. You can only input as many characters as the name you are replacing I do believe. So you would not be able to change Knicks arena to Madison Square Garden or Pacers arena to Conseco Fieldhouse. This also applies with changing coaches names. This is from editing the pc version of the roster with Reditor2 so I imagine the same applies for console rosters.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
looks like i find away around the limted text area more testing. But since it taking to long to load pic to show what i discovered. I found out how to mix and match arena , court , dorns , led art for teams. And testing to see if it works with created teams. Currently have the magic with there court , in the united center with bucks dorns and lakers led art. Found all the arena / courts that can be used most pc folk with know which one's they are. Got the blacktop court as home staduim for bobcats but the broadcast came not good for it. Summer circuit and pre draft camp and practice court are all working in game 5 on 5."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment
