Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

I have now come to the conclusion that I HATE today's NBA. I have not watched one second of the EC or WC finals. But I LOVE the game from around 1984 to 1996. I miss those old uni's. I don't want to sound like an old fart, but the game and everything about it was so much better years ago.

its funny how some teams change every 5 years and some never change or very little. But its time for the rockets to make a change wont be this upcoming season but 2012-2013 season i would bet a overhaul and some retro is good some is also bad...

see i grew up watch the NBA when i was 10 that was 1990. I still remember the 1st game a ever sat down watched the whole this was ECF of 1990 bulls vs pisitons and became a jordan head since that day. NBA now has made players softer then ever, that why there are some many "fake tough" guys in the nba like KD has said. Its because everybody know's they cant fight... All the tech's are killing the game more the flopping.. I mess the days of 90's basketball hard fouls to make a point not hurt anyone and players getting in each other face now its tech... No passion in the game, its not the players its league and there stupied rules making the game not fun to watch for most.....

ok after that rant let's get this back on topic since i stated before i was in the hospital but got saturday, Home from work all week , i got done with all the 9999 lines of code for unis. No more findings since last tuesday. I have put i detailed list together that will be part of the guide to the new tool of all the arena codes , logo codes and list of all the hidden unis and with info so roster makers know what can be used and no reason to ask for this and that.

I still plan on find more hidden courts , coaches , players and shoes and setting list for all with info... I hope to have more finds by this time next week, my meds are making me very weak and tried so i can only do little with out getting all sleepy and taking a nap...

I also have uploaded tons of pic's to 2k share and it almost been a week still nothings so i check again in a few days. Lets hope i can post pic's..

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

hey ive been trying to use old logos and hidden jerseys from NBA teams for exported teams. When I assign them to a CAT export team the following happens:

          1) sometimes I have to load the created team twice to get the nba team's logo to show up. The first time might show the generic logo.
          2) the logo doesn't show up on the court. instead there will be the 76ers logo.
          3) The hidden jersey of a team like the 2002 Supersonics jersey don't show up after I hex edit the team. Instead the jersey will be white/blank.
          4) During the game menu loading screen as the game shows the lineups, the logo next to the player will toggle between a generic logo and the NBA Logo I want them to have.

Of course those things never happen when I use current jerseys and logos. These things only occur for those created exported teams with the hidden jerseys and logos. Thanks for feedback

Side question: Saw you had Corey Maggette in Bucks Purple Jersey and Nets jersey (one where player is next to the memphis pros player and jersey) What are the jersey code for the Bucks and Nets. Can they be applied to a regular team roster or only CAT/exported team?

I wrote it already in my threat. You have to replace one on regular logos in your roster and that's it.

BTW I know the Sonics codes and jerseys, its just i have this strange glitch occurring alot. It only happens to me with older/hidden logos and jerseys. That and I know you can edit an nba team's code, I just dont know how to add it to that nba teams group of jerseys or where to locate the Bucks Current Uh or ua code as well as the nets current uh or ua

I became a fan when I was 12 during the 1990-91 season. I was watching on Youtube yesterday all four games on the 91 ECF when Chicago finally got past Detroit in the 4 game sweep.

That's when physical play was actually allowed and teams would still score 100+ ppg with ease. Mark Aguirre challenged Scottie to a fight in the Chicago Stadium parking lot after Game 2 Marv Albert said during game 3. If players today started walking off the court like the classless Pistons did in Game 4 with 7 seconds and change remaining and not shaking hands, Stern would fine them lke 50k each. LeBron did it two years ago in the Orlando series and got destroyed by the media.

LOL about how Isaiah Thomas walked off all smiles like the Pistons run being over wasn't such a big deal, hugging everyone....but he was really crying inside. When working for NBC later in the 90's he finally admitted that he had a hard time accepting that Jordan and the Bulls were better. Lol but what choice did he have.

If anyone wants to watch, here's the link for Game 1. This is what great basketball is.

when you get a white only uni with no trim and the 76er's logo on the floor means you did something wrong.

If you are trying to use retros on exported team you have to rebuild the TMM.files this can take no less than 2hrs no more then 6 hrs to fix its each time for home uni then home logo then away uni and then away logo. each team you have to remove players and some staff after each save go back to hex editior and do the process. Have fun.

First thing you need to use CTRL+F searching then search for hex string let's say u.h.0.0.1 it's for bucks home current uni hex code for that is 750068003000300031 ( best way to figure out is to decode hex codes for each sign - just mark sign to which you want to get code and on left side you'll see number give you hex for for letter number or sign for 00=., 75=u
it isn't hard ). Other thing you can't have more signs than you have for eg. u.h.0.0.1 you can't raplace with r.1.a.0.0.1 so for retro bucks the best way is to replacle retro 3 which as far as I remember same as retro 1 just change h with a. What about glitch Sonics it's easy.Just replace logo and uni code in .TMM file and replace any logo whcih is already in game with sonics logo code. You Shouldn't have problem with blank spot on black uin.

Other thing is what hoku wrote It won't be easy to do this way. Stick to replace one of the logos. You'll have sonics logo on chest but you'll able at least edit colors of uni as you seen in my roster probably.

its a pain in the *** but it gives the best result that why the 76ers i for pb 99-00 roster came out so good. And you are also able to change the court color with out effect the team in anyway...

since hokup said that you can edit the court without affecting the team. It be great if someone could post pics of how to do court color hex editing. There were earlier pic posts pointing how to locate stuff within the editor like team accessory color 1, color 2, headbands etc. If I knew how to do it I would.

Although the assigning of new and specific colors is difficult, it would be great to at least know where/how to locate where it is... at least locate the first two primary colors: one coding for sideline, the other the actual paint. From there you can at least tinker with the court coloring without affecting the team/jerseys.

Has anybody figured out a way to assign/remove injuries yet?

it would be cool if we could import current players and already created caps over to draft classes. if this was possible i would consider doing draft classes to go with all the historic rosters.
