Chrome do you know how to get the old legends real faces? Like Dr.J and those guys, and what is the new way to make players? Do you have a tut? Also can someone post a roster that has created teams with the EAST and WEST jerseys on 2Kshare

Chrome why can't you just post all the players here for us to use as well?

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

yep vlad was right, it changes the player into a regular player but it doesnt free up any cap slots, for me at least. he is taken off the list of caps but i cannot create nor dl anymore. maybe if i wasnt maxed out to begin with or under the visible 150 it might work but this really does me no good.

chrome - are you saying you know the full ids for all the hidden players? now this could come in handy, please post some if you could. players who played in the late 90s would be most helpful for my 98 roster.

edit: oh and KG - for my roster the value is 0B not B0 as you stated, i assume it was a typo.

edit: tried getting below the 150 visible caps and same result, changing a cap to a regular player does nothing to increase cap slots. thanks for trying though kg, looks like we'll just have to be patient for the reditor on this front.

Hi guys, first off I want to say thank you so much for your contributions. Second, could someone link me (or explain) how I can change team colors, for things like arm bands and wrist bands? I'm having trouble nav-ing through all these topics.

            Thanks!

A video would be great also, I'm trying Hex by trial and error but hopefully with the REDitor it will be so much easier.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

ok so i couldnt sleep , so i started on finding some hidden players. I went threw the 1st set of 24 lines of empty player codes that are not on the roster so this what came up all 24 players of both teams look like this.

So my idea of things being left over like they were with old hidden unin's and logo's have gone out the door regarding old players. The player files seem to had been removed like some arenas from past seasons.

Will work on more tomorrow and keep you all posted.

                          0013 – Nuggets
                          0014 – Pacers
                          0015 – Pistons
                          0016 – Raptors
                          0017 – Rockets
                          0019 – Spurs
                          001A – Suns
                          0018 – Thunder
                          001B – T-Wolves
                          001C – Blazers
                          001D – Warriors
                          0002 – Wizards

you can use the picture on post 284 as a template for finding most of the colors you will need. you can go here http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html to double check colors or to create your own custom color.

so using the heat as an example since thats what is highlighted in the picture, 0A is their team code, the first instance of this will be the home uni, then away, then secondary, on down the line through retros and other unis in the same order they are selectable on the quick game screen. so there is a primary, secondary and headband color for each uniform. so in the pic it shows 98012e as the heats home primary color which is red, if you want to change that to a custom color go to that site and select any color you want and change 98012e in hex to the new value. if you want a color from another team it shouldnt be that hard to find in hex by scrolling through the teams and copying and pasting the value.

this should be pretty simple and there is really no need for a video. if you still cant figure it out after this pm me or chat me cause we dont need to clog up this (already enormous) thread with things that we have been over many times already.

well i have never used the reditor so i can only assume that it will be easier, yes, but much easier??? while some hex editing is very difficult, especially if you are covering new ground or experimenting with things that havent been done BUT changing colors for accessories via hex is VERY simple.

i dont know what colors the reditor will have available, maybe just the ones 2k already has for the teams so if you want other custom shades then you may need to hex edit anyway.

I got tool coming to change player names. Its finished for myplayer but, i hope to expand it to the roster file or shared roster and team name. The only set back is my laziness..

I use vb or c# too bro.
Well, the only thing i'm currently doing is trying to move around the fields in a 360 file, so they correspond PC fields to just apply the already-implemented code. You know, 360 uses big-endian.
So, it's not much about finding new things or non-routine programming.

Anyway, i think, you can help us. Players accessories and CAP appearances are stored along with some other fields as bit-fields in an 8-bytes field. As i don't own XBox 360, it's quite a pain in the *** trying to understand, which bit controls which accessory and how to move them around to get a PC-mapping.

I understand, it's quite a routine task. But shouldn't be difficult, as you're good in hexing and have a game (at least, it wasn't much difficult for me, decoding that stuff for PC).
So, if you can make a bit-mapping of that 8-bytes field, it would be a huge breakthrough for the future development of REDitor in NBA 360 direction.

If you're interested in such a cooperation, please, write me to REDitor@ya*** . I'll send some more info.

PS: This is just to get it started. I potentially have lots of tasks.

And here are some screens from the NON-PUBLIC beta version. Yes, this is a 360 file opened.
