Yes it is possible.... Follow my blog or PB's along with Hokup's blog from 2k11. The 2k11 method will work for 2k12 also -
Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Yeah it is but the rookie arms are messed. I wonder if 2k did this on purpose because they knew people hex edit the game on 360 and PC and find the rookies while the PS3 gets nothing.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
well all the rookies are in the game (1st and 2nd round /Black arm glitch).....
The guys over at nba-live.com found em for the pc
The PC Game list them by png number and it just so happens that it goes by the draft this year (the order the guys are in the game for the most part ) starts at 2122-2210
Example of how to convert the PNGs to player bytes so u can plug them into HEX for XBox 360 use
1.Select a PNG # (Kyrie Irving is png# 2122)
2. use this link http://www.asknumbers.com/BaseNumberConversion.aspx
3.select (left to right) Base 10 (decimal) and Convert to Base 16 (hex)
4. PLug in the the Png # (2122)
5. It will convert to 84A (player bytes are 4 numbers so you will put 08 4A)
6. then you can follow mine or PB's blog.... IF you are more interested in hidden guys that are not rookies, you can use that converter site and use hokup guy's blog for the hidden players and it will work the same way...hope this helpsComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
They have black arms. How is that something that you do not care about.
For that purpose then just create the player. It makes zero sense to upload a roster where a player has different color skinComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
chrome, im sure you already have the list but if you want the full rookies list let me know man.....
The arms are really dark.... I just made an Iman Shumpert (knick fan) and the dark arms are still noticable on him.... I believe "hulyan" or someone along the lines of that name "sorry for if i spelled it wrong" had made caps of the rookies and his Iman was pretty close on to the actual 2k cap so that is probably the best alternative right now.. You could also just do the hex way which will give you the right cap but its time consuming ( i personally wont be doing it) and the 2k servers are messed up as it is already or just wait till the lockout ends if that happens this year..... I can only imagine that hidden guys will have the same arm issue as last year but worstComment
