This all sounds awesome great work Pizzel!! unfortunately i got a virus on my laptop and wont be able to edit appropriately till i get it working again.. i might pull an all nighter trying to get my laptop working.. if not i can borrow my brother's until i get it fixed... Tony wroten is one of my favorite players throughout these classes.. I love watching him play... Anyways great work, and hopefully I'll get back on my A game when this dumb laptop gets fixed!

That sucks about your computer. Well I simmed thru 2015. I'm not as happy with the results. The league jumped back up to 15 teams 90 ovr or higher. Also there's 15 guys 70 ovr and up in the FA pool. Highest is 75 ovr.

I don't think it's the draft classes making the league elevate so quick. They are a factor even when they are greatly reduced. It seems the young current players all progress very quickly too. In real life only a small number greatly ncrease their game. It seems that with the potentials where they are too many guys climb in overall rating very fast. Also a lot of the older guys go down in rating a little slow.

I did this sim test under the same condition as my last few. With the 2k livng roster. Maybe people are working on a roster that has edited potentials. I believe if the entire league was held In check a little we wouldn't see this vast climb in team overalls. Or it just may be something we have to live with.

Like earlier stated I am still quite pleased with the improvements with these draft classes. It really takes 5 years to really get inflated. That's pretty good IMO. In our associations we actually play hardly anyone will get that deep unless u sim 95 percent off the games.

I will peek around. I know people are talking about the current roster rapid progression issue. Let me know what u guys find out as well.

Agreed! Great that you fixed your cpu! Did you have to reinstall or was it something different?

I'm glad I am not the only one who sees this problem. I don't play online so a full deep association is what I want. I have started numerous ones but haven't stuck with one yet. Either I didn't like the roster I used or like now I am waiting until 2012 is fully done. I like to sim a year then do the off season and build the team my way.

Anyway lets keep an eye out on the forums for posts about the roster potential problem. If no one has really done it then it may be something I take on as well. It may be tricky though. I doubt there is a magic number that will fix this. I will comb the downloaded Rosters on 2k share to see if there are any for download.

Let me know when your'e done with 2012. I can't wait to see the guys.

Ya i had to reinstall everything.. Worked on the guys today, im on pf's... and what i do is go through all pg's then sg's then sf's and so forth.. Dude it's a huge problem!!! Some guys are like 78's but have such high potential they are signing max deals.. Some average players are signing way more then a mid level exception... Someone had a scale not that long ago that seemed really good. it was like 90-99 is those star franchise players that only come along so often.. idk the rest but they had in seperate categories... like guys that were all stars.. solid starters... bench players and so forth

At first I wasn't liking Rashidis Roster with a lot of guys lowered but they are appealing to me more now. Only problem with his is potentials haven't been touched. Everything else has. Maybe I will download it and tweak potentials myself IDK

I did talk to someone who was in progress of doing it but didn't really get a timeframe. I want to start my true playing association pretty soon.

How are u going about the potentials saiint? How many people are u going to lower? This is tricky. Knowing who to keep the same rating, who to leave alone and who to go down swiftly. I know some people have used a scale of lowering 5-10 potential depending on status if player.

50-59. scrubs or malcontents that no one wants.
60-69: role players with no room for improvement.
70-79: role players/starters. good players but wont be superstars.
80-89: stars, potential stars. big name players
                        90-99: franchise players only.

I found this from someone else... although, I did it and it didn't work well for me. Maybe someone else give it a shot. the ratings were still super inflated

That's a good scale. Problem is it starts becoming opinion and it comes down to 1 or a few people deciding how everyone who uses the roster for association. It will be the most time consuming thing of all. I mean how many guys are in the NBA? Like 350 depending on inactives at any given time. I haven't made up my mind if this is worth it. I have simmed to year 6 multiple times. I think I'm ready to just settle down with rashidis latest roster and get to more playing games on my free time. My Player is a 99 now. Only IQ needs to he all in the red and speed.

That project will take a very long time to do. Touching each players attributes will take forever. I will run a 6 year with rashidis roster. Lots of guys are rated down that should. I will compare and post results. Maybe late nite tonite even.

Saiint I think u are busy enough with draft classes and real life. I will run tge sim test. Then start my assoc when u have the 2012 class done.

                            Re: Pizzel Draft Class Updated

Well I did another 6 year sim test with rashidis roster. The league stayed down a little after 3-4 years then just skyrockets in year 5 and 6. Goes from 12 teams 90 and up to 22 after 6 years. Just horrible. Plus there's like 7 guys in FA 80 and above. Melo can be signed at MLE. Ridiculous.

I had an idea to maybe turn salary cap off after 4 years but I don't see where u can do that. Don't think u can. So no go on trying to not have super FAs. The league stays pretty balanced and not too many super teams or super free agent for 4 seasons. After that it's a joke.

Well I think I got my answer with these test. Fixed draft classes where they don't break the league, but the progression of the league in later years is broke.

Once Saiint is done with the 2012 appearances I will sim 1 year then play the entire 2012 season for the rest of the year. For now I am done with tweaking Rosters and classes. Any questions or comments post away.

Pizzel... question 4 u... What do the teams salaries look like going deep into the association with teams having that high ratings? Are they similar to today... or do they go way up?

                                Re: Pizzel Draft Class Updated

Let's just say that keeping under the hard cap is a challenge. Let alone the regular cap. That is pretty much impossible. For example the last year of Melo's contact is 24 mill. Then no team can sign him as a FA. But he can be signed with MLE. Along with the other 30 guys that probably shouldn't be FA.

Then if every team signed a MLE good player some of those guys will increase the team ratings more. I think it was an oversight to not have the salary cap scale up some over time. I think the old maddens did that. I haven't played this years too see. Maybe the lack of CBA affected the game.

I just don't know what else to do with multiple year association. Probably not a huge deal because unless we sim too much we won't even get that far. I am kinda shocked with polish of this game that no developers did sim testing to see this happening and adjust it in someway.
