Re: chiliad's 2012 Accurate Draft Class (PS3)
Just downloaded these. I do like the toned down ratings and overall they were pretty accurate. Few things though (not trying to be negative). I don't know if maybe it's something I don't know bout that has to do with 2K but it seemed like all the players face's were sunken in and just looked funny. Also the tendencies on a couple of the big guys seemed off. A lot of iso at the 3 point line and shooting to many 3's IMO. Also had to touch up Beal, Henson, Drummond (weight was off, couple other things), and some other guys. Still loved the draft class though as it seemed they were well thought out and toned down. I'm sure everyone has their own thoughts this early in the Mock Draft process so it's definitely hard to please everyone.Comment

Please feel free to leave any feedback about the class. Also, right now I have no timetable on a 2014 class, but I will eventually make one. Right now I have several players in mind for the 2014 class, but not anywhere close to 80. So please feel free to offer any suggestions of players you would like to see in the 2014 class.
Thank you and enjoy.
Thanks for the hard work!Comment

The face issue is beyond the roster maker's control, but as far as I can tell the effect is minimal when you're actually playing a game.
As for the tendencies, it sounds like you downloaded my 2012 class, and in all honesty I tried to get through tendencies and hotspots as quickly as possible on that class so I could get it released. I'd really like to go back over them and improve them for a potential version 3 of the 2012 class, but I don't really have a timetable for doing that. I'll look the class over again tonight and try to get a rough estimate of how long a tendencies/hotspots overhaul would take.
Again, thank you for the constructive criticism, and please keep it coming. I want these classes to be as realistic as possible, and the only way that happens is if I get feedback, whether it be good or bad.
Great work on these draft classes. One player that has stood out to me is Trey Burke, point guard for the Michigan Wolverines. He's fast, he can score and he's a pretty good PG. It wouldn't surprise me if he comes out after next year. (Although 3 years in college would be good for him.)
Thanks for the hard work!
Burke is one of the guys I've already penciled in as a definite for the 2014 class. He's one of the more underrated freshmen in the country, and I think he'll be more than ready for the NBA if he stays through his junior year.Comment

Good stuff, always nice to talk with someone who's about making the roster as good as possible. If you'd like I wouldn't mind going through and and editing them (tendencies) and then askin your feedback on them and what you think. I like you get most of my info from Chad Ford and a couple other insider sites. Anyways, once again, great work and really appreciate the draft class.Comment

Cool, also I'm not trying to take your credit or anything I just know how much of a hassle the tendencies can be after doing the ratings/gear etc.
I'll add you on PSN tomorrow if I can get on (think I will) chilliad PSN?Comment

Hey man, any fictional classes like yours? I looked over the three you posted earlier in the thread, but they weren't even really close to yours, honestly.
If I could get about 3-4 more good classes, I could finally start PLAYING games in my franchise, as I'd be able to simulate a few seasons, like I like to do.Comment

The year range I'm using is 1972-2001, as I don't want to recreate players that are still in their prime in the NBA. I really like the idea though because drafts can be very weak or very strong (in one scenario I ended up with 5 future hall of famers, while in the draft I mentioned above I ended up with a lot of headcases/underachievers and no real superstars).
Like the 2014 class, I have no real timetable on actually making these classes, as I'd like to play my association. But I assume the fictional classes won't take nearly as long because it will be easier to rate the players than it is with the actual yearly draft classes. Plus doing appearances will be much easier as the fictional guys don't have to look anything like their real-life counterparts, they just have to play like them.
Like I said, right now this is simply an idea floating around in my head, but I definitely want to make it happen.Comment

Funny you should mention fictional classes, because last night I got an idea about doing multiple fictional classes based on picks in past drafts. The idea is to take each pick and randomly select a year and then recreate the player that corresponds to the draft pick, giving them different names of course. For example, in one class the top 5 players were Derrick Coleman (1st overall in 90), Marvin Barnes (2nd overall in 74), Benoit Benjamin (3rd overall in 85), Stephon Marbury (4th overall in 96), and Jason Richardson (5th overall in 2001).

Lol... wow... I did the same thing last year on 2K11.... great minds think alike. I just let the computer generate a class going into seasons of association. Then I'd go through and just pick random guys to "recreate" or whatever you want to call it. I HAD to make a freak of nature like Lebron and there was a Rondo of my own etc. it's really quite fun IMO.

Just downloaded these and I like them a lot, the faces are very accurate and so are the ratings. I like these a lot and I will be using your 2013 version. And I'm using the second version by the way.Saturday Night Lights Online Dynasty

Re: chiliad's 2012 Accurate Draft Class (PS3)
Yeah, but it kind of takes away the realism for me. Also Davis isn't near as athletic as Lebron or have his handles.Comment

Re: chiliad's 2012 Accurate Draft Class (PS3)
How is it so unrealistic though? Davis has the athleticism to play SF, and he's still young, so he could vastly improve, and eventually become a star player in the NBA, IMO. It's just based on opinion though, whether you believe he has that potential or not.Comment
