Re: REDitor II (NBA 2K12 edition)

ok. Got the modder's interface worked out, it was not registered correctly evidently.
In hokupguy's 1991 roster set he made a playoff file (.pmg). I am trying to do this but don't really see how to. I would like to incorporate certain teams into playoff mode but can't do it through the game since it freezes during the bracket/pairings screen (using pb's matchup roster). This is why I was wondering if I can use reditor to make a playoff file with the 16 teams I want in. Any thoughts?

Are you trying to do a playoff file with a certain roster such as PB's? Or are you just wanting to create your own playoff roster? Any roster with duplicate GIDs for the teams won't work in season mode or playoff for that matter I believe. Your best bet is to use a roster that is playoff and season mode friendly.

yes, pb's matchup roster (roster70.ros). I did not think there were duplicate gid's in his roster. The game freezes when cycling through the teams at the bracket/team selection screen. Are you saying a playoff bracket can only be set up by doing it in game using the 360? Will your class of 90 roster work in playoff mode?

I am about 95% sure his rosters had duplicate GID...which affects playoff and season. But I could be wrong. If you have REDitor you can check easily. Go to team tab and scroll over to GID and click there so it sorts the GIDs smallest to largest. Then scroll down to see if there are duplicates.

To answer your question about our Class of 90 roster...yes .. It is playoff and season mode compatible.

pb has '85 & '90 sixers sharing same gid and '98 & '99 spurs showing same gid, but I think the '98 spurs are hidden at the team select screen. Also, d-league or cat teams (not sure which) are all sharing same gid.
From my experience I cannot even get a quick play roster not to freeze when using duplicate gids, much less playoff or season mode. Good to know your class of 90 will work though. I may try pb's original roster file since I may have made some edits that messed up the playoff mode compatability. Not sure if I was making minor edits then or not.

no '98 spurs are not hidden. I did try playoff team select with original roster. It freezes when I get to sophomore team west seed 8 entry. I will change 98 spurs and 85 sixers gid and see if that works (no duplicate gid's)

ok. I see why it freezes when I get to sophomore and rookie teams... there are no players with those team id's.

If i create a team and past it over rookies, all-star teams will it cause freezing...I've created a few teams but seems like I'm running out of space for teams so was wondering if that would be ok, if anyone knows?

How do you edit the rookies that come into association modes draft?

With a default roster in Reditor, put players in order from '0' (Jrue is first player), scroll past active players and legends to like 800 or 900, where players named "******* *****" start to appear. There should be some players interwoven in this region--these are the game-generate draft picks I believe. On an edited roster, it depends on how the roster-editor organized players.

Fore some reason Legends kept showing up in my draft class in ***. mode but i went to create and edit instead of auto-generate and that fixed the problem but still same freeze issue as addressed in the roster post

I'm sorry for those problems with purchasing this week. My hosting provider pissed me off with an accidential technical bug on his side, which he still can't fix...
So the maintainance release is up; it avoids that bug.

What is the policy if I want to upgrade Tables? For example, say I buy the Player Tables (for $5), and later want to upgrade to Developer? Can I just pay the $6 difference?

                              Thanks

I found the how to buy page, and it says. "You should also take into consideration, that if you upgrade from, for example, Player edition of Tables to Guru edition, you should only pay the difference between 2 editions, but no any other discounts take place in this case."
