Re: NBA 2K11 Roster Update (X-Box 360) [Updated July, 22 2012]
Sounds great!
Question - I downloaded this but it's called "Roster.rar" after I grabbed the file. 2K11 will only read the file if it ends in .ROS. The .rar typically is a zip folder that you would put the .ROS file INSIDE of. Does this need to be reloaded as a .ROS file inside of a .rar zip folder?
Nothing I have will recognize this file... Appreciate any feedback! Thanks!
you need winrar to open the zip file to see the .ROS file. But since i already did that ive uploaded roster.ROS file on 4shared just for you and for anybody else who needs it. (Dont worry, its the same roster you wanted to download, not another one, i promise). Heres the link :
Just click on download now and download it. Ur welcome!
Edit: operationsports only lets me put websites if i put 5 or more posts. If anyone wants it please Private Message me and ill give you it. So far i am giving the link to mkharsh.Comment

The file that 3wwe1 sent me worked like a charm...
crunknblaze... I want to THANK YOU for working on this file!! You did a nice job of getting this file developed, and no doubt put a great deal of time into it.
Wanted to know if you'd be interested in seeing if we could get a community effort on this to keep this file updated? I've noticed a lot of player models have generic shots to them and their equipment needs updated. We'd have plenty of time to put our collective heads together here. Again, this is not a criticism as I know how much time it takes to work on this stuff... Just want to see what kind of interest there would be in taking this base file and developing it. Thanks!!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: NBA 2K11 Roster Update (X-Box 360) [Updated July, 22 2012]
mkharsh and whomever is ready...
I don't see why I can't make that happen. I did this roster for the people. And I ask for nothing but appreciation. I'm sure someone is going to edit my roster to their liking, as did I to someone elses roster, so it is what it is. But yeah, let's make something happen, I just created the rookies and missing players and adjusted the appearence only. So we got plenty of work to do here... let me know people.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Roster Update (X-Box 360) [Updated July, 22 2012]
Sounds good...
I spent about an hour combing over this roster. This is actually a file that I developed several months ago. So the original work was what I did before the file got revamped (and the freeze issue occurred). It looks very, very good... There are numerous ratings adjustments to be made, player models need feedback on, shoe colors, depth charts - the natural stuff one would expect at this time in the process. However, with that said, you did an OUTSTANDING job on putting a great deal of time into this. Players were added that I didn't expect to see. If guys could start providing some positive feedback on things that need developed we have a GREAT resource to keep NBA 2K11 alive!!! (One example: Klay Thompson's ratings need a HUGE boost).
But we would need to come up with some kind of order on things. I've already worked on this file a bit for my own use, and then gave a copy to my son (who doesn't like 2K12 either). It will take a great deal of time, but the base file is solid.
So please know that we're all grateful for this, and I also appreciate your humble & grateful attitude for the input. Thanks again!!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: NBA 2K11 Roster Update (X-Box 360) [Updated July, 22 2012]
The first thing that should be done is reviewing the faces, player models, accessories, tattoos of the rookies that have been added. That's not a strong suit of mine, but I would start there. If someone wanted to take the file, making sure they always save a backup, that's how I would conduct this.
Next, we would need to review the attribute numbers. What are the glaring ones that need updated, but what I'd suggest is reviewing some of the 2K12 threads (that are making 2K13 off-season rosters) for those. I can't recall which poster it is (nba bound??) who has went over EACH team and posted new overall ratings. We could use those as a starting point.
Then, we'd need to review each team's depth charts, minutes played, jersey numbers, ages, etc.... And also reviewing contracts. It would also be cool if we could get someone with a knowledge of the Reditor to fix the Nets to Brooklyn (and their colors) as well as the Wizards. That was done for the file that froze (which please know HE did nothing wrong - it was MY fault, as I added some created players to it AFTER he did his work).
We can keep 2K11 alive, provided we have the help here. crunknblaze has done the large part of the work, now it's up to the rest of us here to pitch in and see what we can do. I will not do all of this myself...but would happily invite help.
A parting thought... You would also need to have a basic knowledge of how to upload .ROS files - how to move them from your 360 to your pc and here to share them.
Again, I'm not trying to steal this thread, just offering my helpful advice. As one who's created numerous rosters for 2K11, I feel I have decent grasp of this game & the process of working on them.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

This is the thread I was referring to:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...roster-24.html
Start at page 24 and then work your way backwards... Some of the players might be on different teams now (as stuff changed over the summer) but the overall ratings look good, IMO.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS
