I was using Clecavsfan7's draft class with the default 2k rosters. But all I was saying is there is some way to get the computer to draft shooting guards higher, because it happened every time in this guys draft classes. So it was just a suggestion for chiliad to maybe give his draft classes a look and see if he can duplicate the more realistic drafting how ever the other guy did it. Thats all. Otherwise as the Lakers I can draft up and pick up a solid sf/pf in the top 10 and get another 1st rounder like 18th or 19th and get Mohammad. If you have to up the potential for some shooting guards to get the cpu to draft higher then maybe chiliad should try that.

I'm not upping anyone's potential just to achieve a desired draft result. How players progress throughout the association is far more crucial than the spot where they are drafted.

Well that makes sense, but has anyone actually checked the draft files I said to see if that is the real reason why players are drafted in a realistic order? And do you realistically think Mohammad is 20th or worse in potential in the draft?

He doesn't have the 20th best potential in the draft. I don't know how else to explain that it has nothing to do with that and everything to do with the flawed system.

I think the reason his works is because it was uploaded pre patch. Haven't tested that theory but just a thought

Hey, great work on the draft classes Chiliad. I just had one question. When using a 30 team control association, should I be drafting as close as I can to real "expert" mock drafts or should I go by team needs? Or should I just follow the mock drafts 2k uses in association?

Just do what you think is best for the particular team that is drafting.

I've been working on it when I can, but that's not very often. It will be out eventually, but if you're eager to start a second season I'd recommend going with one of the fictional classes out there.

I'd love to work on it more often, but I'm just not able to because of my job.

Well after reading this thread and almost every post. I really only have one question for chiliad or bedwardsroy or swaggercoach. When you are going through each player in your draft class (fictional not reality) and setting their potential. I understand that giving out over 80+ potential will obviously screw up your association to the fullest extent especially if numerous prospects are rated that high. I have done many simulation testings myself, I just haven't been able to put my finger on the specific problem. Anyways to get to my question, How do you decide how many prospects and which prospects from each class you are giving to give out a potential rating of (70-75), (75-80), (80-85) to keep your association with good fluidity from year to year.

There are a few half decent 2014 classes available on 2k share. If y'all are that desperate for a 2014 class, download one of them, check the FAQ blog post that Bedwardsroy19 made about his specific attribute and tendency edits, and fix up the prospects yourselves based on Beds edits.

Until chiliad has time to finish his class, it's a viable option.

Well I've actually got an edited 2014 class I used, with slightly more updated prospects, and edits based on beds rosters which in could make available.

Unfortunately it wouldn't mesh with the latest chiliad roster as I edited chiliads latest 2013 to include guys like McLemore, Bennett etc and other guys he hasn't included. It's not perfect as I'm not that familiar with college ball being from Australia, but the faces are alright, and reading around on the web about the guys attributes and tendencies I think they can pass until chiliad updates his 2013 class

That said I won't put that 2013 up on 2k share unless he says I can, given its 90% his class

The 2014 one needs a little more work and I could upload that to use.

If he's cool, then I can up them and for now you all could have two fairly current draft classes.
