I plan on posting the rest of the results tonight that lead up to the Final Four but then I will be gone shortly after. As usual, Dreece can answer any question regarding the previous draft classes and upcoming draft class. Just know that this is not a permanant halt to the project but simply a temporary pause. Hopefully you guys have enough classes to hold you over for now. Be easy my friends.
FAMILY 1st. . I am here for you and your family as you have been there for my family and me.

Just like everybody else my prayers go out to Sapp and his family we hope for a speedy recovery. As Sapp said earlier the project is on pause for a minute but hopefully we can still bring you some content while more important issues are taking care of.

In the meantime Miamibigthree asked Sapp for his permission to use our draft classes as a base for a roster project he created...check it out.

And lastly please don't advertise your work in our thread..over the last couple weeks there have been a few incidents that I don't wan't to get into but disrespect to our thread will not be tolerated.

In a bit of a dilemna! Playing as my Magic, ended up with pick 1 and 3 pre-lottery, hoping to turn them into 1 and 2! However, choices have to be made, and this is where I'm stuck. There are so many guys in class 1 that just look too good to pass up, I'm really feeling K-Pack as my #1 pick purely for facilitating and some scoring ability. However, I don't know whether I want to take JoJo, as I have Afflalo, or take a big man; and if I do take a big man, whether to take Lewis or Griffin. Read some posts and it seems Griffin has an attitude problem, but I do like looking for guys with potential more than skill, so I can build through the draft for a few years before they finally start to get really good.

Guys, like mentioned a few pages back in this thread it would be great if you could use 'spoilers' when discussing specific players!

              Thanks!

The 2nd round has a lot of guys with potential. If you do a good job scouting, you can come out with a team that can compete right away.

Whatever choice you make on draft day make sure you follow up with some vets through free agency. I seen so many people make the mistake of taking alot of young players at the top of the draft then proceed to get whupped on during the season because all those rookies just can't make enough plays down the stretch to win.

Once you make your pick though it's time to commit to your players and round them into shape quickly. For example if you get a scoring SG and PG in one draft I would advise you to use your free agency cash on players that compliment those guys you're obviously building around with those high picks. Maybe a slasher/defender at the SF and some bigs that can clog the lane and grab a ton of boards.

Truthfully I wouldn't waste energy on trying to get the #2 pick if you have the #1 and #3. Using Orlando you can use any of the top prospects available so I would stay. I'm going to tell you just like I tell everybody I talk to about team construction with these classes. Do not underestimate the power of a second round pick! I have found so many useful players in the second round I find myself trading back alot. On the cover these prospects may be underwhelming from an overall standpoint but a few years in with smart coaching and training you can potentially turn a 57 rated prospect into a contributing rotation player for a low cap number.

Ended up taking JoJo and Packett, will hopefully make a beast backcourt for the future!

And also picked up Billups and SJax in FA, good veteran players to help mentor the predominantly young Orlando Magic team, looking forward to next season!

                        Welcome to the Final Four

Our 1st game in the final four is Texas vs Wake Forest. Both teams had great seasons and individual performances but the matchup that's has everybody talking is battle at the point Terrance Young and Julio Carpenter.

Terrance Young is rated #1 currently on DC6 big board and he is gonna have to bring it all in this game against the Longhorns. Future NBA pros Travis Buchanan and Peter Blount flank Carpenter on the wing for Texas both great scorers who arent afraid to take the big shot so without further delay lets see tonight's get down to the sideline for the tip!!

                        <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/B6wTMv6GTb4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Texas came out with the intent on punishing Wake Forest down low and for the most part it was very effective. Buchanan caught fire early making 5 of his first 7 shots and Peter Blount's sniping from the wing was only one part of this assault Texas put on early. Wake's offense lead by the nations top prospect Terrance Young seemed out of sync and bothered by Texas size and athleticism. Young's statline for the half 7pts 6reb 5ast 1blk not bad on the surface but when you look at the fact he had 3to and shot 2-11 from the field spelled disaster for team.

Young is gonna have to make better decisions with the rock if Wake is gonna have a chance to get back into this game lets get back to the action.

Despite all the troubles Young had in the 1st half he got it together in the 2nd and almost lead Wake to a monumental upset in this seemingly lopsided matchup. Texas seemed to let up on the defensive intensity and it almost cost them in this battle but Peter Blount and his steady shooting just kept Wake out of reach whenever the did make a run. All in all Wake had a chance to send this game into OT... with 5 seconds left to play but David Porter clanked two ft's down two points!! Texas sneaks away with the win 75-73!!

Tomorrow night Wisconsin takes on Texas A&M see you there!

Wisconsin and Texas A&M are great teams loaded with NBA talent. Wisconsin FR PG Hank Graves is a dynamic scorer with supreme confidence in his ability to be the lead guard on a championship caliber team. The duo of Jamaal Saunders and Jeremy Carter made life a living h**l for players venturing into the paint for easy buckets and FR C Cole Harrington is an athletic freak who rebounds and dunks with flair.

A&M is lead by FR PG Gary Eisley, at 6' 204lbs he is one of the smaller lead guards at the final four but his talent far exceeds his measurements. Eisley has good court vision and passing ability for a freshman and his jumpshot has improved vastly since the beginning of the season. But the true strength of this team is the size and ability of their forwards and centers. Lamont Ray and Glen Butler both look like they just walked out of an NBA training facility both standing 6'11" weighing almost 240lbs are intimidating presences in the paint both offensively and defensively throw in SF Cam Smith at 6’7 233 lbs and you have a team that has a NBA frontline size wise.

                            1st half analysis

Hank Graves had a dominant half for the Badgers going 6-7 from the floor for 12 pts in the half. Cole Harrington chipped in with 4pts and 4reb and Jamaal Saunders good all around play netted him 6pts 3reb 2ast. Wisconsin had 4 team blocks in the half and shot 45% for the half. Look for them to try to keep A&M off balanced offensively so they can make a run in the 2nd half

Despite Gary Eisley's struggles from the floor(1-5fg) and the ineffectiveness of A&Ms big men would lead you to think this would be a blowout but one thing for sure is the Aggies are not going down without a fight. A&M's bench played a major part in the half providing more than half the teams output during the half lead by reserve SG James Howard who hit 2 big threes to keep A&M close. All in all A&M hit 4 threes and they all came from the bench, The Aggies must find a way to get their bigs involved offensively in the gameplan if they want to make that trip to the National Championship Game.

Overall the 1st half was very well played..low turnovers, good shooting, and great ball movement. With such a close game and all the talent that's here tonight I expect nothing less than a great finish letg get back to the action!

It's a shame somebody had to lose but hey that's basketball! Wisconsinmade just enough plays down the stretch to keep A&M at bay. Both teams turned up the defense in the second half A&M had 6 second half blocks but Wisconsin dominated the boards (27-19 advantage) Jeremy Carter helped seal the deal when on consecutive possessions he made a big block on a reverse and had a monster reverse jam after a rebound. Games like this is a treat to watch!! 40 minutes of players laying it on the line for the chance to get to the dance it don't get no better than this!!

So now we have our National Championship Game set Texas vs Wisconsin!! I can't wait to see how the Longhorns scorers deal with the size and aggressiveness of Wisconsin. In studio guests for the National Championship Game will be the #1 PG prospect in DC6 Terrance Young, lockdown defender Ryan Stafford, and the #3 rated high school senior Jacoby Ross will be making his decision on what school he will be attending in the fall!! Hope you enjoyed so far the big dance comes to a conclusion Thursday night see you there.
