Re: OS/Twitter Draft Class Signups (Bedwardsroy19's roster)
Hi Beds, if you need it, this is the scout for VANNI VOLPONI (me):
Vanni Volponi started playing rugby in Italy, but has always been attracted to the basket. So at the age of 14, he left rugby to devote to basketball. The physical structure and propensity for teamwork help him get noticed by scouts of the main Italian teams. Was hired by Scavolini Pesaro where he will play for two years, before declaring eligible for the NBA Draft. Vanni Volponi is a team player, with a big heart.
Over the course of two years to Scavoli Pesaro was expelled four times for excessive contact with opponents. His dream is a ranch in the Rocky Mountain where he spends time with his family and his dogs.
It has good skills in passing the ball and a good defense on the ball, probably the result of years spent playing rugby. Journalists asked him where he would prefer to play and he replied: "I do not want a Big Market, I want privacy for myself and my family."
NBA Comparison: Ron Artest

Re: OS/Twitter Draft Class Signups (Bedwardsroy19's roster)
I am having a serious issue...
In any draft I do the top player is not picked first, it is actually pretty much randomly ordered.
It is frustrating because not only is it random, but nearly every single time "Mike Stauffer" is the first pick of the draft and that is me! It is frustrating because my player is not even good. Average compared to everyone else.
I strongly suggest using 30-Team control with the class unfortunately :/Updates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

I made some tests some weeks ago. This is what I wrote some weeks ago in a threat:
First, I apologize for my poor English.
as you know the Draft in Association mode has a serious bug.
The player with the highest overall is chosen around 20 or 25 pick.
I did a lot of tests and I found a solution to reduce (not eliminate) this bug.
To ensure that the best players are all chosen by the 15th pick is important not to have a player with the highest overall than the others, but it is important to have 2 or 3 players with the same overall.
Example of what happens now:
Player A = 77 overall
Player B = 75 overall
Player C = 74 overall
Players B and C will be chosen within the top 5 pick, and player A will be chosen at around 20/25 pick
Example of what could happen:
Player A = 75 overall
Player B = 75 overall
Player C = 75 overall
two of these players will be chosen within the first 5/7 pick, the other will be chosen by the 15th pick
This does not solve the problem, but it seems more realistic that strong players will be chosen by the 15th pick rather than by the 25th pick
In this way, I do not think it is disastrous to have Noel, Mohammed and Zeller with 75 overall. This is what I did in my Association.Last edited by Painkiller1974; 01-16-2013, 12:07 PM.Comment

This would be a much bigger problem with a real draft classUpdates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

@beds: This is excactly what I thought of when I asked if you make the stories upand if you don't mind I'd love to put mine in here :> pleaaaaase?
I swear I won't make myself OP...
But I think it's quite a nice background.
Spoiler
Niklas Rodewald was born in Germany where he started playing table tennis at the age of 12. Sometime in his mid-15teens he picked up basketball in a local amateur club. He wasn't very good though, but he had strong legs
A year later his dad was sent to Holloman Air Force Base, NM, USA. Seeing this as his chance for the NBA he went along and lived with his dad in El Paso, Texas. There he made contact to Tim Floyd who liked his quickness with both, feets and hands.
He never had a really break through but due to his good defense and his solid quick jumper he provided value minutes off the bench. But the difference between the US and Germany is quite big so you could say he doesn't has that much of Basketball-IQ but he's young so who knows.

Re: OS/Twitter Draft Class Signups (Bedwardsroy19's roster)
Hey Beds, if its alright, i wouldnt mind including my own scouting report/backstory given I'm an 'international' prospect and won't have the same road to the NBA as domestic prospects. Cheers.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Anthony James has had a love for the game ever since his parents introduced him to basketball at the age of 5. At 6'4", Anthony has good size for a 2-guard and can play some point due to his well-developed BBIQ from playing the game for so long, as well as sliding up to the 3 in small-ball situations.
School basketball in Australia is different to that in the US, and is overshadowed by Rugby and Australian Football. The tallest player on Anthony's high school senior team was just 6'5". Out of necessity, Anthony had to convert from playing mostly a guard/forward in his younger years to playing the 4 and 5 in high school once he moved to Adelaide.
As a result, he's developed a unique game for a guard involving a lot of post-work on smaller guards, and has a nice mid-long range game. Not a very explosive player, the most dedicated defender, or a particularly good finisher at the rim, but Anthony is crafty and can put the ball in the hoop. Has a tendency to fall in love with the 3 point shot, but makes them at a decent enough clip that coaches wont pull their hair out.
As captain of his high school team at Adelaide's Pulteney Grammar School, his leadership and commitment to the program earned him the inaugural R.A. Sexton Award for Perpetual Service to Basketball in 2010, an award that has not had a sole winner since Anthony, with selectors opting for shared acclaim between two players.
