Get that unnecessary crap out of here, real life trumps video games. The nerves to be complaining about something your getting for free, something your not putting work into. VT has a life, a family, and his health to worry about.

Feel free to use another roster set or better yet make your own. I see why roster makers get pissed at you entitled asses on here.

You know what, I am glad that you posted this so that I can actually be a complete n total s.o.b. right now. U might wanna set some personal time of yours aside cause if u want this roster set its gonna cost ya $$$. I aint sharing our work with ur impatient, cant edit the game yourself attitude.

(I wanted to also share something else because the first post above, I was typing on my cell phone when I posted it)...If I come off sounding like a p.o.s. to anyone that doesn't know me or has followed our work on here, then I advise you it best for your benefit and for mine (more for me because I enjoy being a member of this community and would not want to put myself in a situation that could possibly get myself banned) so after you read this post...do me and yourself a favor and don't post anything in response to mine because all that is going to do is lead us into a verbal back and forth that I will win. In the case of vtcrb (and he knows this very well) I take it very personally when someone attacks him on here no matter what the subject is, but I take it more personally when it comes to our work. The fact that I have gotten to know him on a very personal level and that we have worked together on this roster set for 3 years now, I just now feel that when you attack him on here that you are attacking me as well. For those who would even think what was posted above was acceptable I would gladly without hestiation trade places with you and I woud love to sit and watch and see if you could handle a day, a week, a month in my shoes doing what I do on a daily basis, or trade places my buddy vtcrb and handle what he does daily, weekly and monthly (AND THATS WITHOUT INCLUDING THE TIME THAT WE TAKE OR THE WE GET TO EDIT OUR ROSTER SET FOR THIS GAME). I will tell you right now you probably could go 1 day, but I guarantee for a fact, by the end of the first week you'd be begging to switch back. To those of you who think what was posted above, that this gentleman has the "right" to post a comment like that, that to me shows mainly the maturity level that we are dealing with here and the most natural form of laziness and wasted free time that I've come across. Now if the gentleman who posted the thoughtless and just senseless comment above is in his late teens to mid 20's, I can understand that you probably didn't mean to come off the way its sounded, but then again you could've used better judgement and a better use of vocabulary. However, if you are over in your late 20's or vastly older, then I am extremely sorry for the people that depend on you to get things done in your life, be it work releated or personal, because if you are that impatient about a roster set for a video game, I can only imagine how impatient you would be to other affairs in your life that deal with you not having to do much or anything at all but reap the reward.

I stand by my opening post that if you want to EVER see or use our work, it will cost you $$$. I will gladly without hesitation and I could care less if its the the decision is not a popular one, but I will go so far as to tell you this, when the update to this roster set is complete, I will refuse to post the file onto 2kshare and I will only (and I mean ONLY) share the updated roster privately to community members.

Once again, if I'm coming off or sounding like an arrogant s.o.b. and you think I'm a p.o.s. for the way I responded, I could care less, because at the end of the day I'm the one that gets to enjoy what we worked on for many months in order to get the best experience out of this game that I could get. I'm not the one online wasting time searching for a roster set to use (hoping the people who edited it and shared it, cater to how I want it to be) rather then use that wasted time and edit the roster set yourself.

This is how I do it....

I open Horizon. I then open My Documents and go the 2K Reditor Roster Files Folder that I created and store each 2K roster update and my own files of the game. I minimize that window and minimize Horizon so I can see both on my desktop side by side. I also have my flashdrive that I'm going to use to transfer the file from my laptop to my 360 plugged in.

Then I'm going to click and drag the 2k file that I want to upload and drag it to Horizon at which point a popup window on Horizon will show up with the NBA 2K14 logo and all the file information. There will be a resign and rehash tab button. I hit that and it rehashes and resigns in seconds and I close that window and then I click out of Horizon.

Then I open up "USBXTAFGUI_v44" (this is a application that was passed along to me way back when I first got my 360 and I had 2K11. It's a very easy application to use and understand and it has never failed me when transferring my 2K roster files onto my flashdrive (I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GOOGLE SEARCH THE APPLICATION AND DOWNLOAD IT). When you download it and open it up you will...

1) click on file.
2) click on open device selector (you should see your flashdrive which you should have already had your 360 configure)
3) another window will open up and you should see your flashdrive (click on your flashdrive and then click on open drive)
4) another window opens up and you should see Cache Partition and below that Data Partition.
5) click on Data Partition and Content opens up below it
6) click on Content and your game files that you have saved onto that flashdrive (for any 360 game) will open up below
7) now mine might be different then yours, so I'm just going to explain how I do mine.
7a) I click on E000002DAE90E22B which opens up the files of the games for my 360 that I have saved to it.
7b) I click on 545408B0 which opens up my nba 2k14 game files that I saved
7c) I click on 00000001 which then I will see all the 2k14 game files on the left hand side of the screen.
7d) I then like with Horizon minize the window so that I have that window and My Documents window side by side.
7e) I then like with Horizon click on the roster file and then drag it over to the left side of the screen where the files are stored on the flashdrive.
7f) You will then see it say "interjecting" at the bottom of the window.
7g) Once it says "done" then you can close that window and remove your flashdrive and load it up into your 360 and start the game
8) After the loading content is done and you go the main screen menu of the game, go to load file and click on the flashdrive that you inserted and you should see the association file.
9) click on it and it will load up and then save it to your to 360 and call it "Template" and save it.
10) Then save it again and call it whatever you will your association. This way if you mess up and need or want to start over you can open up the "template" file and then save it under a new name and begin again (that is done because if you dont' do that then you will have to make all the trades and adjustments that I made already to a new file, which is time consuming)

I'm not quite sure how long he was a member of the community on here (probably longer then myself), but he was a very loyal member and was always willing to help out in testing rosters for roster makers and had a vast knowledge of basketball and was a well respected member throughout the community. He had tested this years game through the roof for vtcrb while we were putting it together and editing it for it's official release. Sadly, he passed away and vtcrb and myself wanted to do something to honor his memory and not only a member of the community but as a great person so vtcrb ask Steve if he could rename the thread and that's why it says "In Memory of OS Member DEATHSTRYK"

As I stated before, not sure how long the Break will be. IF there is anyone STILL interested in ANY sort of UPDATE that i may be able to Make, PM me and I will provide an email address that I can be contacted at, and that i will send updates thru, IF/When i get some stuff done.

EDIT: Also I would like to STATE, that THIS project has been ONE OF FEW that actually UPDATES USERs. We have some guys who make threads and Disappear WITHOUT releasing ANYTHING. SMH

Vtcrb has a family ..has a life ..let's support him and respect the fact he needs some time out ...jeez , if people have issues with gameplay and such things then instead of being impatient please feel free to make such adjustments they feel is necessary,instead of pursuing an impatient attitude let's pursue support for a fellow member who strives for his own greatness for the gaming community to make gaming much more enjoyable , I don't mean to sound like a douche but c'mon , show some support !

I understand, and I agree with you and I believe I even made reference that his comment could've been thought out first before typing and hitting the submit post button. Plus, he could've easily went back and edited his comment and make it sound less like an attack or less like someone who was promised something and has yet to receive it, but yet the service is free?

Unfortunatly, and everyone who has been a member of this community (probably alot longer then I have been) should know from his years as a member on here that vtcrb doesn't just begin a project and then just shutdown and disappear (unlike others on here that will remain nameless, but I've never questioned why they disappear because after all, I don't see anyone lining my pockets with cash to pump out a roster set every week), but last year vtcrb spent I'm going to round it up..about 10 of the 12 months that 2k13 was out, spent on editing several projects (I mean he didn't have time to even enjoy what he was making because constant individual members wanting personal edits done to satisfy them which I never fully understood how is that we all have the same game console, so we all have the same game editing capabilities right? If you download someones roster and you want something changed it in for your own individual perference, how about hitting the edit player option on your 360 and edited it yourself right?

That was my main reason for suggesting and then going from suggesting to just making it so with the timeline update because I wanted him to have the time to sit back after all the editing and just play what we created and enjoy and not have to worry about having his inbox blown up because someone has the wrong color arm sleeve or some ridiculous request like that. For example, we didn't have a Leftos this year, and nobody was able to make or create a roster editor that we all could use while Red MC was being updated in order to make editing the first few months less time consuming. It was all because of Leftos roster editor that we were able to meet our deadline with our 2k13 official opening night roster release and we released on opening night, but thats because of his roster editor that shaved hours and days and weeks off editing. This year vtcrb spent nearly the first week the game came out til Christmas editing 30 teams, and well over 450 players. We had to push back our release and we were able to give everyone a much surprising Christmas present by not only releasing our opening night roster set, but then we quickly went through and by the next day we had an roster update with everyone up to date through Christmas.

Now I'm not the ratings, tendencies brain of the group, thats vtcrb and I've tried every year, I've tried to understand and pick his brain and we've spent sometimes 2-3 hours on yahoo trying to get me to understand his editing process so if that way if he wasn't able to do something I could step in and we could be able to still get it done, but I have yet to grasp the concept because he's been doing it for so long that he understands how he edits and we are talking on two different sides of the country, if we lived down the street from eachother believe me I'd probably have 5-6 notebooks worth of notes from picking his brain so that I could understand it. Now me, I handle everything else, from player movement, to contracts/salaries, player jersey numbers, making sure the bio information and career stats and awards are accurate. It's nobody's fault and we all here now that life doesn't cater to what we want to do or how we want to do it, quite the opposite, we are on lifes terms and sometimes life tells you that have this or that and it needs your immediate attention.

Now I apologize to all of those who not only have followed our roster set, but have waited all this time to get your hands on it and play the hell out of it, and to those of you who are understanding and patient, you are the ones that I stayed up for 5 straight nights two weeks ago getting the association file done while I had my entire inside of my house re-painted. I literally stayed up 5 straight days because I knew that there was a large number of members here who are hardcore association mode players and with 2k14 already been out for 6 months, hell 2k15 is right around the corner, but I want them to be able to take the next 6 months til then and play the hell out of this association file and be able to play multiple years and get one hell of an experience.

I haven't spoken to vtcrb yet, but my thought process for 2K15 next year, is that we make Trifecta 2K15 and we have ONE official release of the roster set and the roster set be Opening night rosters for the 2014-15 season and that's it, we don't put out any updates or anything because this roster set was designed for association mode and once you start an association you can't replace the roster set you started the associaiton with with a updated roster, which is why back in 2k13 I insisted that we include 25-30 generic CAPS and put them in free agency so that users could edit them to be the missing players or players that nobody thought would be playing in the NBA and they wouldn't have to restart, but continue their association.

In all honesty to me if you play association mode if you stop the one you are currently playing because of an update to the roster set that you used to start with, then why did you just waste all that time playing it to stop and start over?

Now with vtcrbs announcement yesterday, I haven't spoken to him since Monday, with my Varsity team just starting spring league last night, I still have a good amount of free time to where I would be more then willing and happy to get an update out to everyone, but I'm not going to sit here on my butt and do all that if some random person wants to get some attention or whatever and post some ridiculous comment like that. That's exactly why I said it and I meant it, if he wants to ever see our roster set its gonna cost him $$$$
