I think I should put this in the first post.

The CPU initiates an offense that takes what it sees as an "ideal shot" much faster on the higher difficulty levels. For those looking for a "sim-like" experience, having the CPU pull up at a moment's notice doesn't reflect what you see in the NBA. Sometimes guys pass open a shot let something develop.
On Superstar or HOF, the CPU will rarely do this. They WILL do it, just the number of times it does this does not outweigh the shot attempt. So FGA's are high, the game is much faster paced...
On Pro/AS, the CPU will actually look to create more offense through play completions. It won't just SHOOT without hesitation. Some may like that competitive mean streak, but I've always strived for a reflection of what you see when you watch a game on TV and the numbers you get afterwards when I set up sliders. That balance is there with the game, but it gets better with these slight tweaks.
I would even suggest you might consider going Pro/All Star when playing home away, or depending if you're playing with a good or a bad team. But what these tweaks allow you to do is just set them up and forget sliders and just enjoy the game. You'll get more close outs on D, fouls, shooting %'s, turnovers, etc. than default. Plus they are geared for 12 mins.
If I could make one suggestion, it would be to edit some of the coach profiles from the newest rosters by 2k Insider. He has the 3pt shooting tendency way too high on teams like the Knicks and Magic. It's actually counter productive to these sliders. I'll post the minor changes to the 3pt tendencies when I have time, but I think it was something like the Knicks were at 80, Magic at 60 (post up bumped to 45-50) and some other team slightly lower around 75. Just going off my head right now...
But it will help, especially for those looking to jump into an Association long term.
