I cannot for the life of me score from jump shots though.

Same here man. I play on PRO level and since the patch release, I can't make a jumper to save my life. I've played 4 games (vs Memphis, Golden State, Atl and Orl) and got blown out in all 4 games using the Lakers.

Kobe was shooting something like 26% in those 4 games. I'm basically forced to drive the paint nearly all the time because I have perimtere game anymore.

Playmakers are you seeing this as well?

I just tried a game with the human shooting sliders at default and everything else as usual. I blew the Celtics out by 20. So obviously default is still going to be too high. There has to be a balance in there somewhere.

im playing 12 min quarters. seems good to me.

to echo what a few people have already said, im having a lot of trouble hitting mid-range and 3pt shots. actually just shooting in general is difficult. i shot like 29% in my last game. the cpu isnt exactly lighting the arena on fire either, shooting 36% and 43% in the last 2 games. thats reasonable though at least. gonna probably have to bump up the hum shooting sliders some, but it just feels wrong setting the hum sliders higher than the cpu ones for shooting.

of course there could be other solutions such as adjusting the offensive awareness, but im afraid of messing with the other sliders. ideally, the gameplay can be perfected by only playing with the shooting sliders, as it seems that all other aspects of the game are still spot on with the pre-patch sliders.

i did adjust the stamina sliders down a few ticks...not sure if that was necessary yet though...

Yup, something definitely happened to user shooting post-patch. Kobe Bryant has turned into Sasha Vujacic for me as he can't hit a jumper if his life depended on it.

I'm not seeing the issue you described with the cpu shooting though. They are shooting lights-out since the patch (high 50%) in every game I've played thus far post-patch.

I've upped the shooting sliders for the user but it didn't seem to do much.....so I'm guessing that something else (contested shots maybe?) is causing the issue with perimeter/mid-range shots.

I'm hoping that Playmakers has time today to dowbnload the patch and correct this issue.

I just tried bumping up the user mid range and 3 point sliders up to 50 and the inside and layup sliders up to 48. It felt much better as I shot 47% against the Bobcats. Open jump shots actually went in and I didn't see any wide open layups get missed.

I am wary of making the game too easy though. So I'm going to see how I go against some tougher teams before making anymore changes.

Like a lot of guys I only want to mess with the shooting sliders as I think Playmaker has done a terrific job with the others.

PS. Holy crap the Nuggets just shot 68% from the field in the first half against me. No matter what defense I threw at them they were just swishing everything. The score is currently 67-48 at half time. What the hell...definitely won't be raising any CPU shooting sliders.

PSS. Wow, they shot 63% for the game. I lost 135-93. Their percentage was 72% at the end of the 3rd quarter. Not really sure what to say. I know blowouts happen but man that was just bananas...It was a slaughter in all aspects of the game. Rebounds and turnovers were hugely lopsided and seemingly everything they put up had a chance to go in, no matter how contested it was.

Also, fellas i didn't get a chance today to play any games family time and football games prevented that from happening.

I will definetly work on it after work tomorrow (Monday). I've also been looking at some of the stats posted in the thread so that will help me speed things up.

Playmakers, I loved your Madden sliders. Now I'm wondering what type of sliders you got for basketball :P. Looking forward to it and am trying different sliders right now, but when do you think you will have this updated?
