Just checked the official nba stats from last year. The fast break points arent so off after all. Still would like to see them a bit higher.

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
Fast break points are on the low side yes.. Cant be fixed with sliders I think! In my next update steal success will go up for sure! Would be great if you could post some impressions and stats of your games with these! Will be gone for the night watching some euro pro ball. After that or tomorrow I will get in some more games and update some of the sliders based on mine and the experiences and stats posted here.Last edited by PuntNL; 10-14-2010, 08:56 AM.Comment

Punt I love the fact that everything is clear and well explained.
Also love the fact that the CPU/USER settings match - theres no need to over complicate things.
Question for you: Is clutch factor ON?
It may be a good idea to list all of the default settings (in order) with the default value. This way we can do it "blind" rather than try and find certain settings.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
Good sliders, but is anyone else finding steals to be abit low for the user side?
This is causing turnovers to be abit too low based on NBA averages for me.
Everything out is perfect on 11 minute sliders though.
Great job.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
i have no idea where else to ask this question so i'll ask it here. it's sort of related, and when i get the game, i will try out these tweaks and post stats etc. but was the simulation game style designed to be played on the default game speed? i was at a friends house playing, and i noticed that the game speed doesn't change depending on the game style. casual has the same game speed as arcade. given the drastically different intentions for these two game styles, it doesn't make sense to me. are the game styles designed for/meant to be played on the default game speed (i,e the player speed being increased for casual vs. simulation)? if my question is not clear, i apologize, but i don't really know how to phrase it other than what i have.Comment

Glad to hear that you enjoy the way these are set. I don't want to over complicate things by making difference between user and cpu and adjusting every single slider by 1 or 2 points.

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
Okay version 1.5 is in the opening post. Focus of adjustments was on creating more steals and a realistic amount of turnovers. Steals could maybe be a little high now in comparison to the real NBA averages. But problem is that it is almost impossible to get turnovers other than from steals. Drawing charges, travelling etc. are almost non-existent in 2K11, so just searching for a compromis here. Think it is pretty ok at this point.
Other point of adjustment are fouls, upped commit fouls a little bit and over the back fouls to 90. Seeing a lot of shooting fouls called on the cpu. Looks a little bit like if the CPU gets called easier with shooting fouls than the user. However could be that I don't play aggressive enough in defensive under the boards (as I got owned in my last game under the boards - see below). Needs some more testing. Would like to know your opinions on this...
Had a great game on these sliders with me as the Bulls vs the Wizards. Great First half, me trailing 55-53 and than got completely blown out in the second half. Wasn't able to hit anything and got owned by Arenas. Gave up way to much offensive boards. The nice thing is that I only blame myself for the result and not the game/cpu. Game was played on 11 minute quarters and Pro. Not sure yet but I think 12 minutes is just a bit too long, 11 minutes seems to make for the most realistic outcome.

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
So I think I am getting close to my final set. Would be nice to see some more experiences and stats from others. Just had another great game with me as the Knicks vs the Kings. Got a nice hard fought win (FINALLY). Game was played with slightly updated v1.5 sliders. Will post updated sliders after more games and preferably also after some games of you guys :-). See the stats of my last game for yourself (Pro/11 minutes):

Re: NBA 2K11 Simstyle slider tweaks by PuntNL
Thanks, you gonna try them?
Really satisfied with how this set is coming along now. I am only testing a couple of small things and expect it to be final in a couple of days, but some help would be nice than.
I updated the opening post with the latest version --> version 1.7. Changes are in red and these are the changes from v1.0 to v1.7.
These are the exact sliders with which I played the previously posted game between the knicks (me) and the kings.Last edited by PuntNL; 10-16-2010, 12:49 PM.Comment
