The CPU fg% isn't an issue now, but turnovers are ridiculous.

Dean, did you go for on-ball steals a lot?

Greenie, I just played my second game on All-Star. I beat the Jazz 109-107. But in my first two games on All-star i have shot kinda high percentage. I shot 57% in this last game, i never had done that at all on pro. Whats going on with that? You would think that it would make you shot a low percent. I dont get it, this game is getting on my nerves right now..

Hmm. I may have went for a few, but not many that I remember. I played most of the time off-ball guarding Durant.

This is why I resisted All-Star for so long-- because I put a lot of work in tuning the shot success sliders on Pro.

If it keeps up, the only logical thing to do is to drop each slider down 1.

            First turn up On-Ball D 1.

Why not? Just do the trades in your association as they happen....

Wow, that was a long reading from the 15th of December till the last post on this thread! I spent some holiday time in the Caribbean but now I'm back to work... with NBA2K11, real job can wait till the 10th of January :-)

Soooo, must we venture into the darkness that is All-Star? Oh yes, the last time I had a bad headache playing NBA 2K was when I tried All Star Level, eh eh. But if now everyone is giving it a try I'll do it myself. For now I can't use the coaching profiles and rosters because they are for PS3. I'll try the sliders before editing all coaching profiles by hand. Do they really make a difference? If they do I'll be glad to do some nasty handwork on them and edit them for all teams.

Tomorrow I should be able to play a game... if I can remember HOW to play!

No need to. If your already in a one team association just resign your position (be aware if your scout is out it will be reset but you won't lose any previous info you have on prospects), switch to a team doing the trade and when your done resign that position and go back to your team.

                        Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

                        I tried these last night

After my 18th (!!) turnover in the first half, I quit. The passing on these sliders is unrealistically awful and the players catching is comical. And before somebody chimes in with a "you must not play real basketball," I've played semi-pro.. and I was a point guard.

Making a pass from an elbow to the opposite wing should not result in the ball being fired out of bounds 3 out of 10 times. Making a pass to an unpressured player should not result in him fumbling the catch 2-3 out of 10 times. Throwing an outlet pass in front of a streaking guard with daylight ahead of him should not result in the pass sailing miles from him (and generally out of bounds) 5 out of 10 times

All of those are one in 20 or 30 possession plays in the NBA. In order to get nice looking boxscores with realistic turnover numbers, you've made the game itself totally unrealistic. I'd love to see how you play with these sliders and keep turnovers at 10-12 - you must not throw a pass over 5 feet
