Great game, missed the feeling in one of your old sets but for it seems that the sliders improved a lot. Great work, thanks mate.
    Cool. No problem, man.

    Enjoy!

      Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

I'm still losing like a real noob of the game, but everything looks almost perfect, no complaints about the sliders. I'm using Orlando (the pre trade team, shouldn't be so easy to lose, but go figure) and sometimes I'm afraid that my 36 Def Pressure setting is making easy for the CPU to kill me, or maybe I'm just playing bad, eh eh ;-)

I've beaten the Mavericks by 6 and lost to the worst team (Nets) by 23! Howard is putting up big numbers (points, rebounds and blocks), Carter is out, Lewis is hurt day-to-day and Nelson can be the best player sometimes and the worst in the next game. CPU always shoot around 50%. I only won one game so far against Dallas, where they shoot 40% and I shoot 50%.

I see people here winning using very good teams, hope this is not necessary for having a successful association (again, the game plays great even when you lose). Are you guys isomoving a lot? How do you play defense? Just curious.

Just another post to say that sliders are really good!

Beat the Magic 93-88 in a defensive struggle to improve to 10-5. Howard and Carter were hurt. With 20 seconds left in a tie game I isolated wall and he drew a foul made both free throws. Then he got one of a few huge 4th quarter steals and he passed to marion who passed to Blatche for the clinching layup

        Magic/Wizards
        Field Goals: 35-93(37%)/ 30-71(42%)
        3's: 10-31(32%)/ 6-19(31%)
        free throws: 8-10(80%)/27-39(69%)
        assists: 22/18
        turnovers: 14/17
        Rebounds: 52(11 off.)/45(5 off.)
        steals: 12/9
        blocks: 4/9
        PIP: 30/34

Man I been following this thread from the beginning and have to say the 3.0 set is where its at. Never have I had a game played so smoothly. Played Knicks v Blazers (me) and it played great. First half I was holding things down with Batum and Rudy F with his spark off the bench. I had Run plays set to 100 and had the coach profiles put in and NY played just like their real life counterpart. They didnt run alot of the same plays like they would without these sliders and coach profiles. Everything was different. They got everyone involved early in the first half. Thats prolly why I was ahead for the first half. Second half they ran alot more pick n roll with amare and he was just nailing big shots. Knicks eventually won 90-79. All the team stats fell right under the correct range where they should be. Love these sliders. Off to the next game. O yea I played on 11 min Q just too see if there was much of a difference. Back Up to 12 min Q to see for a few games to compare. Great work Greenie and everyone involved.

I just happened to be passing through this thread and saw your question. You're supposed to change the human and CPU sliders to the same numbers.

I think we both built up a solid PRO game, that doesn't quite translate to AS. I also think some things are lacking on AS, because we didn't quite get the time to tweak that we did with PRO. Nothing to do about that.

That said, I see people winning and losing. And, I know I'm losing but I mostly understand why.

Thanks, Ces. Glad you're still around.

pretty realistic stats. although, i always wonder why the CPU always seems to shoot over 80+ shots and the human only around 70? a minor analysis. also, if im not mistaken, i managed to make about 7 and1's. not sure if its cuz Bron & Wade are good at that but its something ill look into.

Happy you are enjoying the set.

The reason for the difference in FGA is in the FTA. Shooting fouls (except "and-1's") aren't counted as FGA, so the more FTA the less FGA.

I believe "and-1's" are determined by the contact shot slider, but if you lower it too much, your at rim and close shooting percentages will sink. This is because all shots inside or close that result in contact w/ no foul will fall less. So be careful or you'll have difficulty converting bunnies.

So be careful or you'll have difficulty converting bunnies.
yeah, as soon as i posted that analysis i figured out that shooting fouls aren't counted as FGA. with that in mind, i'll slightly alter my game & try not to take as many shots in the paint with Bron & Wade (which is difficult to accomplish since Wade, a lil more than Bron, can blow by nearly any defender on nearly every offensive possesion in the game).

**i mean, i do believe players like Bron, Wade, Kobe, Melo, extc... can blow by anybody whenever they feel like it but they limit that skill to try and get teammates involved in the offense. also i've noticed that Wade (in NBA2K11) gets hurt atleast every 3 or 4 games if u beast into the paint with him.

i lowered contact shot success slider to 43(-1). im testing that out...

im playing ATL(cpu) @ MIA(me) right now. I'll post the game stats asap. good looking out greenie

                              key players:
                              MIA(me)
                              D.Wade 28pts 3reb 2ast 3stl
                              C.Bosh 20pts 10reb 3ast 2stl 2blk
                              L.James 17pts 9reb 7ast 2stl 1blk

                              ATL(cpu)
                              J.Johnson 25pts 9reb 0ast 3stl 1blk
                              Ja.Crawford 17pts 3reb 2ast 0/0 3pt
                              A.Horford 12pts 6reb 2ast

didnt really feel any challenge by the Hawks. i had control of the game and a 10pt lead the entire ball game (except for the last couple mins lol). i monitored my drives with Bron & Wade. took a lot of in rhythm jumpers and didnt force the offense (u can tell by LeBron's 17pts). these sliders on ALL STAR have a really good feel to them.

*a lot of NBA teams average 80+ FGA. although the CPU gets up about 80+ FGA, Humans (maybe, due to the high shooting foul numbers) attempt about 70-75 FGs. i think I'll also alter my play a bit by not running so many plays and playing a lil more fast paced in the openning quarters of the game.

**also, I played this game with contested shot success at 43(-1). I've got to say, i felt a really good balance of "and-1s" throughout the game. surprised at the few that did go in.

greenie or anybody else holla back wit some feed back!

Do you guys change also the coach profiles of every team? Because I can't figure on how to change those. I'm uncomfortable using the slider without following the required setting of the maker of these one. (changing coach profiles). It felt awkward because I can't change coach profile.. Again.. changing coach profile, is it very necessary? or its optional?
