    Re: RedLogic's 2k12 Sliders (Bedwardsroy19's Roster Specific)

Jesus. It was a crazy game. I was up by 8 going into the second quarter then fell behind bad in the second and played behind most the game. I kind of fell into that mode where you just try to rush for baskets because the lead is going up, and up. My star players sucked for the first half. I couldn't hit anything. JR smith came off the bench firing though and novak added some good threes.

I was down 18 going into the fourth quarter. At the 3 minute mark of the 4th I was down 11 and before I knew it I was down by 2 with 18 seconds left after Melo hit a clutch 3 then causing a shot clock violation. I brought Melo to the left wing and iso'd. I made a move past pierce, did the spin layup to draw contact but got nothing but a beast block by KG. lol #fail.

Anyways got the ball back with 7 seconds left and I was down 3 and missed the game tying three at the buzzer.

I know my 3 pt % was high but most that came in my 4th qtr surge. I think I was at 24% before then. I am digging the sliders, red. good job man. fun times. (I couldn't hit a ft to save my life. def. felt the pressure that game. :O)

Red, just wanted to say I really like these sliders. I was a bit apprehensive @ first w/the superstar level, game/player speed and higher quickness but it works really well and it does feel like I'm watching a real NBA game (as someone else posted in the thread). Movement is phenomenal with this set.

I've been through a lot of sets and I've caught slideritis once again lol. I really love how superstar seems to bring out real player tendencies (meaning bums don't hit open Js like I saw on other levels).

Any advice on toning down dunks a bit? Great job on these!

Hi red, i try the sliders/roster with game speed at 46 and difficulty at all star and work great! Thank you for the fantastic work, i have a little question, the clutch factor id set on?

Do you mean players who shouldn't be able to thrown down dunks are doing so? Or just looking to lower the overall dunking ability. Vertical and dunk success could be address this issue. I am working on making a HOF edit which I have been enjoying lately, maybe those will address your issue.

I've only played the Heat so far and the right players were dunking but just too many for my taste (and some were quite ridiculous). So far I've lowered dunk in traffic to 40, dunking ability to 35 and attempt dunks to 20 and that seems to be working so far.

EDIT: Also have you noticed a lot of up & under moves from guards?

Yes it seems like the cpu's go to move. Ive learned to look for it but yea some games I see it a lot.

credit to your set I see this A LOT less than I did before using your sliders..

I'm using a combination of your sliders and yellz but mostly yours.. i think i got a couple things from true (100 defensive assist for one).. but right now the game couldn't possibly be playing better for me.. so thanks much.

Glad to help. I actually have been working on doing a HOF set and have defensive assist on 55 right now. I like it a lot though I'm not sure I want to raise it any higher and take my actions completely out of the picture. In the end we all use what we like and most sets give each user a nice base to make their own personal adjustments with. If you have any feedback as far as my sliders go, I'd love to hear it. Going to try to post my HOF edit soon.

my whole thing with defensive assist is that I thought it affected the other players on the court??.. it feels better at 100 for me.. the AI seems to respond better to me.. meaning the guys i don't have control as far as rotation is concerned etc..... i also might not be very good but i seem to be keeping up on superstar now and having very realistic games as far as stat variance etc.. I might get better in time where I'll be forced to change some settings but right now it's playing perfect for me..I think changing the camera view to 2k was another thing that helped me a lot.. It's mostly your sliders with a couple tweaks. Looking forward to the Hall of Fame edit.. anything to make the AI smarter without feeling cheap is always a good thing as far as I'm concerned..

Defensive Assist only helps the player you are controlling, basically keeping you in front of or staying close to your man. I believe that's why it's found under the controller options and not a regular option. I've been playing with it on zero almost since I got the game until I understood what it did and it's changed my game play experience for sure!
