First let me say that the sliders help a lot, however...
For some reason, offensive rebounding by the CPU is still a bit wonky and the defensive logic CPU teammates just continues to confound and frustrate me in this game.
While the CPU is hitting wide open 3's to hurt me, the reason why those 3's continue to be wide open is due to my wings or PG continually dropping down into the lane to help on players without the ball, leaving their men uncovered on the perimeter -- and I mean WIDE open -- usually when those opposing wings are a simple and direct pass away from the ball handler at the time.
I really don't get what I can do to address this because the issue goes beyond the statistics of the gameplay. I can hold the CPU to a low 40's FG%, but with the Offensive Rebounding that's happening and the high volume of 3's that go unguarded and made, there are a number of controller tossing moments just waiting to happen.
Fundamentally, the actual code for this game is flawed and it makes playing an act of frustration. My team is good and not great, but even when I execute, it seems like the results aren't where they should be and overcoming the CPU AI both teammate and opponent is onerous. I'm generally happy with how these sliders deliver my offensive production and I'm challenged to execute the offense diversely IMO with realistic results in terms of my FG% and Offensive Rebounding rate
To be honest, I don't have the time to continually go in and adjust sliders and players, etc. and I think more and more that the onus should be on the developer to create a sound game out of the box.
So many things to like about this game except the core gameplay logic and that's the bit that 2K HAS TO nail down in a big way

• Y'know, I've never played less NBA 2K than I did with NBA 2K12
• Sports VG titles were REALLY disappointing in 2011-12

Thats not the sliders thats your defense next game you play go to defensive setting when it says double team it will be at auto. Go to auto and put never. Now the defense will be more disciplined to stay with there man. Thats not the sliders thats you not using your defense correctly I garuntee they wont try to cheat in they will now stay with there man.Comment

I have a highlight on my page at 2K sports -- watch the SG. He doubles down in the lane on an opposing big without the ball, leaving the opposing SG open. That's an AI issue. DT's happen in the NBA. Having to toggle that off to prevent stupid DT's from being rampant by eliminating the concept of DT's altogether is the sign of a flawed product. I've played EVERY iteration of this game. The frustration of this one is unmatched. I know that the developers tried to put a lot of neat things into the game, but they have failed with this product.Basketball made me the man I am today; Arthritic and Bitter...

I also put off, def aware, blocks to 0, turned contest shots down to 25 and it fixed the cpu PG's blocking PF and C's on dunks.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

themzzzzo 52 if they are to easy for you then there are like 15 other sliders you can go to I doubt you beat them that bad but if you did the only logical thing is to go up another level. But doing that they cheat you so use some other slider or get cheated, simple as that.
And its funny that everybody that got something bad to say bout these sliders JOIN DATE IS FEBUARY 2012 TO OPERATION SPORTS. SO I KNOW WHO YOU ARE JUST CUT IT OUT THEY ARE JUST SLIDERS IN A GAME.
calm down... I'm not saying these are bad sliders, they obviously work for others just not me for some reason, thought maybe i was missing something... And I did beat the Heat by 36 (using the Knicks), why would I make that up?
