The May 9th set implemented with the new version 4 of the roster set is a spot on match, I wouldn't change a single thing about them other then the CPU killed me on the offensive boards in the first 2 games, but it could be more a combination of me not boxing out properly or wrong positioning on my part, but either way I was still able to pull out victories in both games.


Game 1: Lakers 98, Dallas 93 (Kobe Bryant 35 pts)
Game 2: Lakers 93, Portland 88
Game 3: Lakers 102, Clippers 100 (Kobe Bryant, game winning basket with 1.2 seconds left).


Also guys, using Leftos NBA Stat Tracker with my association file is INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend you try it out with the latest version now having game play by play exported from the game and able to copy and paste that for association stories and boxscore recaps.

I have begun to notice the edge the CPU had in Off. Rebounding, so instead of lowering the CPU Off. Rebounding, I would raise the USER Def. Rebounding by 5, maybe 10 and see if that works out.

I am testing with the Defensive Rebounding upped by 5 for the USER Only and seeing what results from it.

I messed around and turned the CPU OREB down 5 and turned the USER DREB up 5, but didn't see much difference. I'm going to try what your doing and seeing if that will make a difference.


Actually I'm going to see what happens if I off set them. Have the CPU 60 DEF REB and 85 OFF REB, while the USER 85 DEF REB and 60 OFF REB.

I added a few slight modifications to the slider set, the changes are posted in bold in the May 9th Update.

Changes are to:
USER/CPU Pass accuracy
Jumpshot defense strength
USER Defensive rebounding
Take inside shot tendency

Well Phoenix and Golden State are known to be two of the faster paced teams in the league, so its not a shock to see a game with a high score like that. Are you playing on 11 Minute Quarters?

No, only running 10 min quarters, but it is a much better game with these sliders, fun and challenging, looking forward to playing alittle more today.

guys idont know if you remember me im the guy that got raped in the paint. it turns out I was playing 12 mins and used the tendecies you suggested but ionly changed the USER settings and not the CPU so when I did change it I noticed a difference but was still tough to defend but I see u made some changes and I think that would solve the problem cuz the old set had 0 on layup defense

Just to clarify, I put the values in both CPU and Human sliders when there is one value and then in the case of Mid-Range success I put 47 in Hum and 48 in CPU?

And I know red is the alternative value. Am I catching this right?

I haven't won one game yet, 3 games I lost in a row in my association... so fustrating, always in the final minute the CPU goes for a 10-0 run and I can't stop them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong lol...

Way to many fouls, CPU shoot 3s at high %, steals happen way to often, sliders jacks up players ratings even more that everyone who was suited up to play was 79+, which would make my assoctiton horrible to to play by year 2 or 3.

Well the alternative would then be for you to get a roster to start as your base, then go through 450 players that are in the NBA and edit their ratings, tendencies, everything, then edit the players that are free agents and then either create or download and edit CAPS for missing players in the game. Then edit the sliders til you got the results that you are looking for. I would guess this is the highly agreed path to take to achieve the results that you yourself are looking for, but don't let the fact that a task like this probably will take you at the most 3-4 months tops, so if you gotta some extra time on your hands dive into the world of roster and slider editing and here's hoping you create a roster set that is still up to your standards in years 2 and 3.


Note: If you read this and you capture my tone as sarcastic and insulted, then you'd be right on the money. Criticism is expected, but I reserve criticism as for those try and for those who also have the same capability as me to edit a game. If someone has the same capability as myself to edit this game and chooses not to, then I take offense to any criticism or any thoughts or opinion that person has, because at the very least, it shows that (a) you have no idea how to play the game as it is meant to be played (b) extremely lazy as to not go through and edit the game for yourself and (c) believe that whatever custom roster set you play with was meant to satisfy you, wrong, it was created and meant to satisfy the person or people who created and edited it.

I do i have to agree; way too many steals and fouls. Anyway to change that. The game is fun and challenging though.
