broke into top 500.. trying for that 250 spot again... this time it seems that I'm picking up more HS from the draft board than I did last event which helps a lot since I haven't bought any... I need a boost in my season line up or something... 14 seasons with 0 wins...

How long do most of you grind before taking a break? 5k sounds insane regardless if your using hot streaks.

Yea, last rivals I was all in because I didn't do so well in the first one. But this time around, I'm in the same boat as you and trying to find that motivation. To be honest, if it was any other player other than Jordan, I probably wouldn't even be grinding right now.

I hear ya. I feel like a monk with how much I've repeated a "you're doing this for MJ" mantra in my head lol. I've read people on here advising others that they are probably burned out and should consider taking a break from playing the game. Although that advice wasn't directed towards me, I think it'd be a good idea for me to take it lol. Doing my best to hold off on it until this event ends, but I don't know if I could do another 5 days like this.

You've got more confidence than I do! Wasn't 5K per day a top 10 pace last RC?

1) Nah, last time it took almost 6k a day to get top 10. I had 32k and finished near 17 or so.

2) 5k a day is "easy" to get? That's 10 hours of playing (without hotstreaks). I don't call that easy unless you're a student, unemployed, or get very little sleep on those days other than your obligations.

Getting that Rival Jordan is so damn tempting but man it will be a dog fight to maintain position. If I can't get the Jordan, I'm completely fine with Pippen. Getting Pippen will give me a pro version of him

Lol those are my thoughts, exactly. And yeah, I think it may be best if I do the same. Maybe taking the next Rivals off after this one wouldn't hurt. Yea, I hear you. It's gonna be tough. Originally, I wanted top 25 but after seeing how this first day as gone for me (mentally) I wouldn't mind top 50 (or top 125 for that matter. Just want that MJ card).

It'll probably take a little more than that but no where near the '10 hours+' needed for top 25.

I'm currently 3 and I'm uncertain how far to take this the first day. I don't want to discourage anyone, but at the same time I want to set the top 25 bar high early so maybe anyone who isn't as insane as the rest of us may give up now.

Am I only hurting us all if I keep going or should I keep grinding hoping we set the bar high enough early that we could get some people tapping out early?

I don't think anyone who would realistically challenge you by Sunday is looking where the bar is right now. And the only bar that really matters is the bottom of each tier. That's how I think is the safest way to look at things.
