What's going on Colts? I skipped a bunch of pages after the anti-allergy stuff conked me out again. I spoke with my mother who is still working well into retirement age as a Nurse Practitioner (She runs the #3 rated Surgical Urology unit in the country... super proud of her), and she told me the reason I get the allergic reaction is because they're giving me the antibiotic too fast.
It's supposed to be administered over 2 to 2.5 hours, but they do it in 30 minutes because this particular antibiotic has such severe potential side effects that a nurse has to monitor frequently while it is being given and for some time afterward. So ... they rush it and also knock me out with the drug that stops me itching ... which must be like a total win-win for them as they have no need to worry about me for anything for hours.
To conclude the off topic update on my hospitalization, I go for another bone scan tomorrow. If they see no bright spots, they may discharge me the next day and keep me on oral antibiotics for a lengthy amount of time. If there's still any indication of infection in the bone, I'll be held at least through this coming Monday until the next bone scan. So I might be home Thursday or Friday.
I continue to be in good spirits, especially since I have my 17" 1080p gaming laptop with the free wifi here with me and the food is like going out to eat somewhere decent and arrives when I want it to instead of being nasty and coming at set times all lukewarm. Overall, I'd rate this particular hospital a 9.5 out of 10, losing the half point for the whole giving the dangerous antibiotic 5x faster than is recommended. I get that the workload is heavy, but I'm an easy patient and I don't particularly enjoy spending half the time knocked out from this medication for allergy that wouldn't be necessary if they just gave me the antibiotic more slowly.
Anyway, praise and rant off as far as that goes.
Do we know anything about the RC this week yet? If I'm stuck in the hospital for it, I'm going to tell them to take a hike and let me itch and grind like a fiend for top-25 because really what the heck else am I going to do stuck in the hospital bed all weekend? On the up side, I did get a lot of NBA 2k15 in ... going into my final rookie contract year with my PG and got my 1st season done with the PF I made to practice the post moves.
Oh, and another clue for those who seem to be making a game of trying to figure out who I really am. Today is my anniversary and my wife and I will be watching Kingsman on the laptop and then getting started on Justified the final season (she snagged both on blu ray earlier today at Best Buy). So that will be fun. I've heard that Kingsman is quite good.
So yeah ... any idea on the RC yet? Is it going to be Thunder vs. Pacers you think? (Last year's runner ups) or will it start with this year's conference finals losers you think?
