Technically, credit-wise, it is the cheapest. But you will also be giving up a PO card (1 point towards loyalty award, if that even makes a difference) to do such transaction. I was just explaining to npmelo why so many on here has an alt account for RC.

Depends if you had credit already in your main account. The only way to farm credit is if you can gain card and sell them (not likely anymore). Maybe someone with a alt can chime in on if they can farm any credits.

You can if your account is connected to Facebook or Game Center/Google, not if its connected through PSN.
