Does that still work for you?? Stopped working for me after that update and even NW said it here that that shouldn't be happening, so it stopped working for me

I'm still not sure how the playoffs are scheduled. There is a guy in my season currently placed as the top seed who I really want to take to finals. In order for me to ensure that I'm placed in a different conference than him, where should I try to place myself in the standings come playoffs? Second seed?

Currently playoff brackets are always:

Left Side
1-16
5-12
7-10
3-14

Right Side
2-15
6-11
8-9
4-13

To me that is kind of unfavorable to seeds 1/3/5. My last season the top 3 had roughly similar decks (stats ranging from 1800 - 2100 each) and I had a few losses early by just not energizing which put me in 2nd place, and when I looked at people I wound up deciding to tank a few toward the end of the season to ensure 2nd place (swapping in worse people, going low energy) since I'd rather not play the other two before the finals. Wound up winning anyway, but lowered stress a bit =)

I feel like it is not as auto win a before, but sometimes when I field my best team in quick game I almost can't beat anyone. At least the last time I tried. I find the 3 good pro rares/2 commons, while it is not a fail proof strategy it still works fairly well at lowering difficulty, and there's usually at least 5-6 people I can beat so it isn't hard to have at least one of them on the screen at a time. Although I run a different set up than Turty, which is one center with high DEF/MG (For me Anderson V) to basically win any DEF or DEF+MG category, and then 2 "all arounders" who should beat any regular rare in any stat/category. I also don't mind taking some losses to figure out who seems beatable.

I'm using 3 pro rares and 2 commons. I choose to match up against 2 people, who have 1 massively leveled legendary and 4 other weaker cards (low level rare pros or maxed rares). The legendary in both their cases only get played in round 1 or round 3, so I play my commons then and win the other ones no matter what I play.

Very nice! He seems like he stacks up decently vs a lot of legendary cards even. But the very best legendary cards seem to be better still. This makes it different than rare pros who are mostly better than regular epics for their positions, and rare uncommons who are better than regular rares. I guess Legendary cards are just on a different level.

They are Legendary for a reason.

At least I've got something out of 7k quick game borefest, 2 Legendary support cardsand 2 epic players and 1 epic support from the draft is ridiculous.

MKG and Kevin Martin to max out and I'm done with quick games.

He's who I have as my #1 Power Forward right now, max pro version the same as yours. But when I pull additional rare PF or C they are awfully low for stats.

I've been just combining my additional rares without leveling them if they don't offer any improvement, or marginal, to my team. I combined an Anderson Varejao and continued to roll with my Emeka Okafor which is only 1 point worse... hardly worth training 3 cards.

One my last season with ease.. (Got Stojakovic!) And now in my new season I'm against kids that have bought all their cards.. Atleast like 5 teams 3000+ in each category... FML

I've been doing the same, just keeping 3 best cards players for each position maxed out, the rest combining just for catalogue. Got Thad Young in a starter pack, never pulled another one since, best rare PF card in the game.
