Rodman could close everyone. One on one. Duncan changed strategy on offense end his oponents.

nope. adore Duncan as you will. blocks alone dont account for defense as a whole. you know that dont you? even boxing out, screens, diving for loose balls. physical play and many more account for Defense. i dont hate Duncan. in fact he is one of the players i really liked because nobody could lose to him fundamentally. not flashy, but very effective. but we're talking about defense man. and Rodman was enshrined to the Hall of Fame because of what? did he score thousands of points? of course not. Rodman even guarded MJ in their series when he was with the pistons and can hold his ground. Even Rodman can guard Tim and he'll have a difficult time scoring.

yeah they are both great defenders. One is an anchor rim protector, the other play shut you down defense. And as what they say, defensive stop does not happen till you get the ball. Imagine Rodman guarding LBJ...damn

To be fair, duncan block shots often lead to fastbreaks. Unlike howard where he send it to the stands. The other team will just inbound the ball again and get a basket

Duncans shotblock ability too often forced oponents take bad shots. U cant find this stat in 2003. Nów we have tools. In the past nope.
It isn't about only numbers of Blocks. Its all about lower % off from paint.

I am not using only simple numbers. I am to old be excited about boxscore. Duncan was Quiet killer. Rodman was showman. Much easier is be excited about Pink Rodman Then boring Timmie

Both was great defensors.

But only one of Them had all around defensive skills
There is plenty of details with Rodman better Then td. For sure. I like Rodman so it isn't case Pink Glasses on td only.
Pistons were my 2 Nd favorite team for decade.

I only have 1 playoff pro and 2 star pro so I had to +2 Billups. I currently have 43/420. Best I drafted are leg bellamy and leg ibaka

oh its ok, its his opinion and i respect that. but im definitely sure were talking about individual defense so im kinda baffled why the discussion always switching to team defense. haha. im 110% sure the number on the cards reflect their individual stats, not their teams. so i dont know where the issue is lol.

im talking about individual defense. Duncan hovers the rim and as you say a rim protector. while Rodman hounds you wherever you go. and he does defense mentally too. you buy his antics and you lose.
