The three years that he played with the Bulls had 3 of the absolute greatest ever at what they did. Jordan obviously gets love for being one of the GOAT's and is probably the most competitive player to ever walk the courts. Pippen doesn't get enough credit for being such a fluid, smooth offensive presence in the open court and one of the best team defensive players ever because of his tremendous length and athleticism. Then you add in Rodman's completely insane understanding of the mechanics of defense and rebounding plus his total unselfishness offensively and you had a perfect combination of HOF players to dominate a league. All three possessed gifts that could not be coached and only come through natural talent and then years of honing those skills through ridiculous amounts of hard work.

Just think, Ignazz, if he could have found a way to make it in San Antonio then he might have mentored Tim Duncan right along side David Robinson.
Agree with all you said, he understood the nuances of rebounding, defense and the positioning all of them required like few players ever have.

One other thing about Jordan, Pippen and Rodman...they knew how to get under their opponent's skin. They wore people down mentally and it's part of what made those Bulls teams so great. Not only were they physically talented, they understood the mental aspect of the game like no other team ever has.

That's true. I think more so for Jordan than the other two. Most of Rodman's on court behavior was designed to get a reaction. He was a flopper, an instigator, he had the headbutting issues, he would brawl with anyone. The off the court behavior was his way of controlling what he felt was a life that was spinning out of control. It started when Chuck Daly left the Pistons and he never really felt like he regained control of it until he started acting "crazy". He almost committed suicide before he left the Pistons and I think he needed to find a way to release some of the built up pressure that was way healthier than what he had been doing. Truthfully, I would imagine he was a textbook ADD/ADHD case that had been undiagnosed as a kid and never learned how to manage the symptoms until a giant stress event hit him so hard he almost let it consume him. (This is spoken as a sufferer of the condition not as a medical profession.)

Jordan knew what he was getting with Rodman though, having played against him for years when he was with the Bad Boy Piston teams. And nobody should doubt who was really in control of those Bulls teams. You think Lebron has influence over roster decisions now? Jordan could make Jerry Reinsdorf and Jerry Krause do whatever he wanted by the time he was done.

Just won the first two games of Horry on +2 with some ease. Haven't got my 7th pro yet. Tempted to try + 5.

I would suggest not to do it, it will be a waste of GN. It is much tougher and I believe even 7 pros won't be able to win.

+5 will be an auto loss for you. I was able to +7 up to Kerr last RTTC and then could only do +2 when I got to him and I had 5 PO Pros. Fairly certain you need at least 10 PO Pros to do +5 on Horry.

Yes, a lot of us could easily +7 the first greats and the 2 PO cards after him, but will hit a wall and can only +2. The stats are, IIRC, over 5k, so to win the double, a PO pro and a Greats/RC might not be an automatic winner. Add to the fact that you still need to win at least 2 more single match to tie.
