Pretty much yeah because unless you spend real money on a contract pack the best you can get is a veteran contract which requires 3 of the same card to pro and it's very unlikely that you'll get 3 of the same card when it comes to a higher tier. Getting one dupe already required a lot of luck but to get 2 is very unlikely. I made it to legendary in about 2000 games by using the AH. You can obviously use wild cards as well but they're incredibly rare.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
It is still early, but this is why I am starting to feel this app is a step back from last years. I enjoyed building a lineup organically in the previous app until I got to the star and playoff tiers. Once I got there the AH became important because of low drop rates. In my opinion building a lineup organically is far more satisfying than using the AH. Also there is not enough card space to build a lineup organically in the low tiers. It's a shame too because the 2k15 was such a big step over 2k14 that I expected another step forward this year. Honestly though it is probably a good thing because I don't really have the time to stay married to a mobile app this year anyway.Pretty much yeah because unless you spend real money on a contract pack the best you can get is a veteran contract which requires 3 of the same card to pro and it's very unlikely that you'll get 3 of the same card when it comes to a higher tier. Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
It's really just a matter of preference. For me what makes the game entertaining is working my way methodically through each tier through the draft and seasons. This creates a challenge and the more challenging something is the more rewarding it feels when a duplicate card that you have searching for finally pops up on your screen. For me it takes away the challenge when I can pick the cards I want through auctions and even skip tiers altogether. Skipping tiers actually reduces the life and challenge of the game therefore reducing the amount of time I can enjoy it. Making the AH heavy aspect even less fun is that the most fundamental and important feature of the game becomes collecting currency instead of obtaining new cards through challenge or actual play of a game. Ultimately you are correct, it is silly not to use the AH because it has essentially become the game. I personally prefer an actual game based on collecting cards and devising strategies based on the cards dealt rather than playing a game where I am just trying to obtain currency. It's too much like real life where I am working to obtain real currency every day. Using my time off working to play a game where I am just trying too collect fake currency is no escape from everyday life and just becomes monotonous.Last edited by popsicle1228; 10-15-2015, 09:45 PM.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Yeah fair enough everyone has their preference on how to enjoy a game. Personally I wouldn't want to just keep grinding to try and get 3 of the same card because it is highly unlikely that it will happen so the AH helps with that. If they didn't change the way to pro players it wouldn't be like this but since you now need 3 of the same card unless you spend real money on a star contract buying from the AH is really the only way forward. It's really just a matter of preference.
