Yup and Sam is probably high in one and lower in the other. They greatly expanded the range of opponents at some point. You used to have such a narrow band you literally only saw like 10 names ever. It's obviously less than swapping a player of different levels but it is there.

Yea I got the two coommon cards that suck but during the rivals I use 5 rqre pro and seem to be doing good lol


But this rivals ima use the line up with 2 commons jordan, duncan, and robinson and see how that work out

Your assertion that supports change the pool isn't backed up by anything substantial or even circumstantial though. My belief that supports don't change the pool is at least backed up by something. It isn't air tight, sure.. but at least there's some reason to believe it.

Could it be the case that supports change your pool, and this guy just lands in both pools? Of course.. but there's zero reason to believe that unquestionably.

But let's make that assumption anyway.

So even if supports DO change your pool, if changing from an Epic, All Stats support, to a Common, One Stat support, isn't enough to put you into an entirely different tier, with no overlap, then it must not change too much. If I had an Epic player in there, and subbed him out for Zaza Pachulia, there'd be zero overlap.

If changing the support changes the pool so little, it seems to me that it's worth it to have the better support, just for the few times it'd be useful, rather than skimping.

Again, that's if there's a difference at all, which we have no actual reason to believe (though it cannot be disproven).

Even if it was true for old matchmaking, the matchmaking algorithm obviously changed, so that could have changed too.

And yeah, value is a relative concept, so what's of value to you, what's of value to me will be different, but there is still static truth and there is an objective measure of worth. You may consider that support to be worthless, and that's fine. I'm just giving my alternative view for people to consider. I chose Miami for the last Rivals, and that support was the differentiating factor. The other rewards seemed pretty much even to me.

So one question I've had for a bit is what support cards should I be using during my season? right now i use in the two starting slots +7 all team stats and I use the -7 all stats in the two bench slots.

Now I have the one legendary from the last RC and a few epics all single use support cards.

Any help would be appreciated.

The fact that they would choose a year--for whatever reason--in which John Stockton's stats would not be good enough to be Legendary is in itself disrespectful.

They go off of what they have the license for. Console 2k14 has the 97-98 Utah Jazz. So that's the Stockton that's in this game.

98 Stockton averaged 12.0 ppg, 8.5 apg, 2.6 rpg, and 1.4 spg on 53% shooting in 64 games.

Sounds Epic to me. Of course, Stockton had tons of intangible qualities that made him more than the sum of his stats, but it's not so ludicrous that he's an Epic player in this game.

It'd be cool if 2k still had the license on the 92 Dream Team. That would have had Legendary Stockton, but by 98, he had declined.

Legendary Rik Smits is insane under any circumstances though. I'd have rather had Mark Jackson Legendary, which is ludicrous enough, but Rik Smits... crazy..
