I Wasn't sure where to ask but how do you win every quarter goal? i try 5 epic pros but always lose 1 or 2 quarters. Is there a better solution to lineup?

I use 5 epic pros too, but I win 4q's about 90% of the time unless I see a lot of charged teams.

The key is to make sure you have a player that specializes in each stat, use your specs upgrades and enhancements to boost that stat (to at least 960) so they are nearly unbeatable in that stat. Then you will probably want one player that's well balanced as the last card just in case. For me that's Chris Bosh.

i really hope the update is to fix the captcha issues, although i never run into them myself because I never really sit and dedicate myself to tapping the screen like a lot of you do. yay distractions.

but if star tier were to come out today, at least it would be good timing. 2 legendaries that had been struggling to sell for a week finally moved, and both at BIN prices. sweet. i have a shot at having 100k saved up. not sure what i'll do with it.

but the biggest thing for star tier would be clearing out the top of legend seasons. it's gotten ridiculous. i know you all know this. but we're at the point where i know i'm signing up for 3 green cards after 4 days.

They will have a proceed button before doing the verification after this update. But no new tier this week. My guess is it will be two weeks from now after the next RTTC.

yeah my epic foil chris bosh has been in my lineup since almost the beginning when i got him in a pack. he is always my closing card.

Saw guys in the FB group posting pics of them winning season games with common players. One situation the guy was up by 6 going into the last quarter. In the last quarter, he had two 2v2 matches. His Throwback Rubio and Leg Pro Dominique vs. the other guys Epic Pro Derozan and leg pro AD. The 2nd 2v2 matchup was his uncommon Vince Carter and common Sergey Karasev vs the other guy's Leg Pro CP and UR Pro Rick Fox. Other guy ended up winning the quarter by 5 points but losing the match by 1.

CD got rid of benches so that players could stop gaming the system by putting in commons and uncommons to get easier seasons and its still happening.

CD basically tried to put a bandage over an open wound when they did that.

This all stems from the fact that season scoring is implemented stupidly with margin of victory per quarter being 4, 5 or 6 points. Seasons as a whole need to get reworked. From the matchmaking right down to the scoring.

It's asinine that someone could possibly get the same margin of victory if they had leg pros beating common/uncommon cards as if they had leg pros beating other leg pros.

that's very interesting to hear. i guess the good news is that he ended up losing the match as he should have with commons/uncommons. it would be way more concerning if he won.

margin of victory depending on tier level of cards is an interesting concept. i'm guess if they applied that to seasons, it would also apply across the board (quick game, etc). that would add a huge level of complexity to matchups and there really might not be a solid strategy for consistently winning games as everyone likes to do. having a "throw away" card as many use would be a huge detriment. but that might not be a bad thing.

And that's what stupid to me. Other guy only got 5 points for the last quarter when he clearly had better cards....by a wide margin at that.

When CD thought up their season scoring logic, they clearly 1) thought that season matchmaking would match up like decks and 2) that everyone would always put their best 15 cards up.

When that didn't happen, the flaws in season became more and more apparent

cheating the match making in seasons was never a risk i was willing to take. since not all cards are played in a match, all your weak cards could randomly get chosen, then all it takes is your strongest go against theirs in an unfavorable match up for you to lose.

i've tried on a smaller scale once to throw in a couple epic pros and got killed in playoffs in longer series lol

A guy just won my season by using 3 common cards in his deck along with mostly all event cards proed. I faced him 3 times in the regular season where all of his common cards were played, but I lost by 1 pt all 3 times. Met him in the playoffs and had another 1 point loss, but he won by like 10 the other 3 games.

So that strategy is definitely working by allowing you to be matched up against weaker trams while still being able to win most games if your Commons are played. Of course you can't overdue it, but it looks like 3 of them works.

With how scoring is, it actually isn't as big of a risk as you think....especially since throwing them in their decreases the overall strength of your team (and matches you up against decks that aren't necessarily as strong). It's the same principle that people use when throwing in random terrible cards into their QG decks to avoid charged lineups, etc. The system doesn't punish you if enough for having commons so even if you lose 1 quarter you could possibly make it up in other quarters. Only way you get screwed is like if half of your season deck is commons. If you just keep it to like 5 or less, I think the impact would be minimal. One of those guys on FB said he won his season a record of like 95-3 using commons
