Wonder if the Star tier cards and events are actually included but not turned on yet with the original Google info description... Then again, they'd have to change the description again afterwards... I'm betting on another update to download with this one trying to figure out timing for all three app stores...

On Twitter, Danan said that the studio is closed today so I doubt the update will go live today. It's possible but I'm not expecting it

i think that's exactly what they're doing. the major updates are huge ~250mb and usually can't be done without wireless. it wouldn't surprise me if they have a smaller normal update that flips the switch on.

this would make it more fair to allow the majority to start star tier around the same time. i've been away from wireless when other major tiers were released and it was quite depressing to know others were getting their freebie when i couldn't even download the update through cellular.

Reporting back on my common season experiment...

It was good enough to get past the first couple rounds in the playoffs but I ended up losing in the semis. I managed to get 1 game off of the guy. Surprisingly every game was decided by 1 point.

He had a true all legendary lineup so if any of my commons got chosen (especially for tag plays) it was costly.

Probably wouldn't attempt it again unless I was in a season where any playoff round reward was useful to me. FYI I was using 3 commons, rest high end legends.

in nwgamedads twitter, he mentioned that they lowered the drop rate for vet contract.

Today (in less that 100 games played) I've pulled maybe 6 or 7 vet contracts. As many as two last weeks !

When good agent finished I drafted two within ten minutes of each other and another one shortly after.

Star tier will definitely be out before All Star Weekend. Check app store in meantime for minor and major updates.

I can't help with team, but in meantime, you can get URs and below at minimum, and Epics & Legendaries relatively cheap as compared to when you left a few months ago. Most likely there's RttC this week so you can advance your deck pretty quickly in preparation for new tier.
