For the most part I agree with your post, like this game being half baked and stuff, but I don't think the vc thing flies. Yes what you say is true but you also paid 60 bucks up front for the game. They don't need to milk you as much for micro transactions. While a lot of users probably found the my team mobile card game from said 60 dollar console game it wasn't a requirement and at least a few of my friends play who don't own nba2k14 at all. If nobody bought epic packs at 20 they might have lowered prices. That's not what happened. They set a price and found sufficient demand for it.

I feel like its almost unfair to say that sales were due to demand. What else is there to pay for on this app? If you dont buy the $20 epic pack theres no other reason to spend. You either dont buy packs and wallow in unwinnable seasons or drop your bank and still not guarantee yourself anything since we have absolutely 0 idea how seasons work. But hey at least you have shiny gold cards now. Theres no alternative to not paying that.
If they were $10 a piece who knows what would happen. Twista would spend half as less but 100 other people wouldve spent double what they have now and people who hadnt spent might be compelled to buy 1. Its an impossible market to gauge because there really isnt a comparable market to this one. $20 for one card in a game where the only other way to get it is play 10,000+ games would drive anybody to call it a "demand."

Guys, what team u going for? I dont know which one i want to go to. I want paul george rival but i doubt ill get that, prolly just the legendary one. But ppl said patrick ewing was better. Plus i need a center. i aalready have a maxed out crappy scottie pippen.

I'm going for OKC hopefully in 2 weeks Need to recharge the old batteries and my enthusiasm for this game, this Rivals seems like the perfect week for that

There's a few people on here going for the Pacers. Including me. No way the Ewing Rival will be better than Paul George though.

Is there a minimum numbers of picks before you can start complaining about an epic drought? I really wanted to whine about my 5,600 pick drought, but then I saw Ezquerro's 10k+ drought and decided to shut up. Can we come to a consensus on this?

I think anything past 3k picks is fair and then after that I moves to different levels of crazy. I myself am in a 4400 plus pick drought without an epic and 36k plus without a legendary. I was going good for a long while busting an epic about every thousand picks, but since rivals one it's been more like 2k+. This is my second drought of 4400 picks or more in the last month.

George will get buried in your bench as SF after they release the likes of Rivals Durant and re-release Lebron, Larry Legend, etc...assuming you plan to play all the rivals weeks in the grand scheme of things. I think position scarcity calls for Ewing to be the right choice in this one...then again, I'm not touching this app this week. I'm interested what the score will be after the first hour though.

You would speak with your checkbook or credit card and not play or spend money. If the game sucks and doesn't interest people then they see no money and change their ways or go out of business. That didn't happen. You speak like your only alternative to not paying is to wallow in some supposed misery (I've had plenty of amusement personally while spending nothing) but the real answer was to quit. That's how you get a devs attention. When epic packs came out there was no supply and demand curve. They put out a price for a supply and people bought it. You can say it was because the game was designed to push people toward it. Which seems like good business to me. The other market is to quit this game and put your money in something else. This game was free. If people wanted to be competitive or wanted to collect or whatever then the outline was there. Buy epic epics, grind lots of games, try to be clever, and/or be lucky.

So can we get a quick roll call of who certain people are going for this event. Keep in mind that no one person influences which team wins overall lol Personally, I am going for the Pacers because I like Paul George and would like to see his rivals card in action

Pacers, I think most of the community agrees the Paul George card will be better than Ewing

As much as it pains me I gotta go with NY. I think I will get more bang for my buck LU wise if the Knicks win.
