Mine went over 10k picks until I drafted an epic yesterday. It started last Rivals' Friday. I agree on the negativity bias, though. But it was just too much of a coincidence, in my opinion.

I drafted two at the beginning of last rivals in like 500 picks and then 1 over this weekend . So that was about 6000 picks apart and the one over this weekend obviously was not during rivals. Randomness implies nothing is fixed or predetermined which is the main thing on your theory that was wrong if we believe nwgamedad on how the game works. And I don't really have reason to not believe him (in this regard). Generally when bad things happen we start looking for reasons .

I feel like it is too time sensitive to update like that. People put up somewhere between 400-1000 points an hour depending on hot streaks and when they last reported. If just wait for them to fix the leaderboards hopefully. How did you finish in the season btw?

Oh i am fully aware of that but i figured you would be able to determine how close people are because you could factor that in if people just say they are hot streaking or not.

Has anyone noticed 5 points being more difficult this time around.? Wondering if the long update yesterday messed with the QG matchups.

I can't say I disagree with you.

Just felt like throwing in another theory. This is starting to look like 'Lost', everyone has their own little theory haha

The only thing that makes me think about the method I said is that not many epics dropped this week inbetween Rival event, according to the posts on the forum. But suddenly when Rivals start epics drop like flies. I don't believe Cat Daddy increases or decreases drop rates, we increase/decrease the rate by playing a lot more games during the event.

I believe it's just people playing 20x more than usual , I played 3k games last event , maybe 200 since . Think a lot of people are in same boat .

So now that Rivals has happened a few times I'm pretty down on it. I'm sitting here at work watching people posting that they have thousands of points already while I try to sneak my phone out for a game or two an hour. Between needing sleep and work, going to the gym, meals, and spending time with the significant other there just isn't time in the day to compete at this game mode.

Then in seasons I'm always one of the top 2 or 3 teams, but one of those other 1 or 2 have a team 800-1000 pts better than mine.

Or there's quick games, which everyone knows the issues with.

There are two and only two ways to succeed at this game and it's either get incredibly lucky or be a total vegetable for a week. I enjoy playing and collecting the little bit that I do play, and Epic Pros for Rvalry events are a decent consolation prize but it's kinda sad that I can't expect to ever win in either game mode.

The conspiracy thinking prone part of me is wondering if this "frozen board" is some type of beta test to see how blind scores impact participation/hot streak scores. If everyone thought they had a shot at first, would they spend more? Of course they'd have to be somewhat of a moron to think suddenly everyone stopped playing but them.

But as is the case with most conspiracies, I am probably giving the potential conspirator way too much credit when this was probably just some accidental screw up in their update.
