Actually, I'm even moving up the leader board without even playing! I just jumped 30 spots in 5 minutes without doing a thing. This is the best Rivals strategy yet!

Maybe they going wit a blind system , where you never know your true rank till the rivals is over , wouldn't put it past them, and yes I'm ranting , sry , the pro epic reed being better than the melo is really bugging the sh!t out of me , saves me time and money and loses them money cause no need to buy hot streaks if your not planning on being top 125

We get it man. Really it's not that preposterous for a lot of reasons:

1.) A lot of people that play this game buy a lot of packs. Therefore it's not unreasonable to believe a fair amount of people have a single Melo looking to dupe. I have a single Lebron and Jerry West, if they somehow offered singles of those as rewards I would be all over that. Also Melo is a hell of a lot more popular, many players that play this game also just go for their favorite players and somehow I doubt Willis Reed is theirs making Melo a more desirable prize.

2.) If every single legendary was better than every epic pro, it'd make the game way too tipped towards pay to play players. Give CD credit there, they at least balanced it.

3.) Seasons would be worthless if the epics you were getting had no chance against the legendaries someone could draft. Even worse, one epic pack pulled legendary would likely win you a season as that single legendary would beat your opponent's epic pros that they likely grinded much harder for.

4.) Offering the best epic pro of a team is much better than offering the worst. Many more people would be complaining that the epic pro they grinded for isn't even the best one for the team. Honestly surprised they didn't give us another Shannon Brown special edition epic card though.

I think you get the point, the point is that there's nothing wrong with offering the best epic pro from a team as a reward.

Season today?

It's like pulling teeth to get everyone on the same page. People started seasons and did not advise so we finally all came to an agreement that we will start a Forums Season approximately 1 hour after this event ends on Sunday. I started one this morning out of frustration, sorry bro.

While Melo might be worse than Willis Reed Pro, I could potentially get Willis Reed Pro by tanking first round of the playoffs. I can only get Melo through the draft as the system currently is. My chances of getting that Willis Reed Pro by tanking are much better than drafting that Melo.



As someone said before, many of the top Epic Pros are better than legendaries. Which is also true of many of the top Rare Pros being better than Epics. And uncommon pros being better than rares...

That might be true , but it would require me putting Knicks as my team, and tanking seasons which takes 4 days to have that chance of getting reed , 30 other players I rather try and tank for before I tank for a reed , so it would take me 20 years to get a epic pro reed that way since he is number 30 on my list and I've never gotten a double epic from tanking. Either way this is a timed competition , so no way should I be able to play 5 hours and get a better card than someone who plays 25 hours , that's just not fair.

Just ran into Benitez in rivals! I think 3 Jordans and 2 j. Collins...I weathered the storm for my 10 pts against him...nice to play someone from the forum I follow in-game!

Last try and I'm done. The epic Pro Willis Reed is not a better card than the Melo.

1. Melo has a higher ceiling because he isn't a pro yet.

2. Melo only has a lower rating by 8 points... pretty negligible.

3. Melo's skill has a higher proc chance because he is a legendary.

4. Melo's skill has a whole (opposing) team effect vs. Willis Reed's self effect.

5. Melo's skill affects BC which I'm pretty sure (but still kind of guessing) is the most common QG category along with MG, while Willis Reed's affects O&D. Willis Reed is going to win most D battles anyways.

6. Melo non-pro beats Willis Reed Pro in any category combination except those with D and a straight MG.

In conclusion... Melo is not a worse card...

Some news on the leaderboard freeze from NWGD would be great. I can't stand not knowing how I'm doing, but I know I can't possibly be where the leaderboard says I am.

On a personal note I would fully expect a rep from Cat Daddy to monitor the game at the beginning and the end of these events. It is apparent that is not the case.
