I think I've figured out how the "frozen" board works. If you stop playing for a certain amount of time (I'm not sure what that figure is) your score will update, if not, the score won't update until you stop for like 30 minutes.

Either that or the leaderboard is just like an hour behind and people who stop playing for an hour will be caught up on the board.

I honestly have no idea, from the top 10 you can't see the leaderboards that far back, no offense.
