I have 6800pts and just cracked the top 250, if anyone is curious where the bar is right now for epic+support card.

p.s, no epics in this event for me yet. 12000pts last event, two epics. CD really has the squeeze on my drafting right now. At about 120hrs of game-time between epics.

If you're willing to spend the kind of money on this game that it would take to get the best LU, then you're either a) rich, b) no family/bills/debts, or c) completely insane. I posted in another thread recently that spending $20+ and possibly getting a Wilson Chandler/Jeff Green deters me from putting any money in to this game. I almost talked myself in to spending a bit on hotstreaks, but this event people are really going crazy over so finishing top 500 (I'm currently 254) is my goal now.

But seriously, I have over 100 000vc. I'd be willing to dump that into credits at like a 100:1 even 500:1 ratio. Why not?

Actually you can get to top 50 if you keep spamming 5 point games and do it while doing other stuff (as long as you can hold your phone in 1 hand). I haven't bought/spent a dime not he game and currently have almost 16k points (started on Tuesday right at midnight). Tho i have been playing ~10 hours a day while watching tv/riding stationary bike/etc.

Actually you can get to top 50 if you keep spamming 5 point games and do it while doing other stuff (as long as you can hold your phone in 1 hand). I haven't bought/spent a dime not he game and currently have almost 16k points (started on Tuesday right at midnight). Tho i have been playing ~10 hours a day while watching tv/riding stationary bike/etc.

Yea unfortunately not all of us have 10hrs to devote to tapping for 5 days straight, lol. The game in general is too boring and frustrating anyway. Have you drafted anything good yet during this event?

Nice! Man that card is going to crush the Dirk rivals. I just added the numbers and the crappy Ewing rivals card totals 987 untrained and the Dirk rivals is 917. I am rather pissed at the moment.

Hmm dirk will have the same offense as Lebron which is at 825 when pro.

Has there ever been a good discussion on why CD won't let players use VC to buy cards for this game? I understand that the price for credits is much more than the price of VC, so would this be the only reason?

Probably because CD is independent of 2k.

It's all the "freemium" game strategy. We're paying real money for virtual money on both the console game and phone app. It's just that CD and 2k decided not to work a deal to share profits this way and instead set its own markets and prices on their own games.

CD is definitely the more money hungry of the two. You have to spend much much more money on the phone app to get a top tier team as opposed to gold packs on the console.

On top of that, for a 2500 credit epic pack, CD only gives 10-50 free credits a day. For a 10,000 VC gold pack, 2k gives 700-1500 VC a day.

It's one of the reasons I've toned down playing this game. I still come here though cause I enjoy the community.

I am third? with the MJ Rivals and Bulls.
The gap between me and him is too big though, i cant beat him. I could try to lose all games now and face him in the first round . If he doesnt energize for the first rounds, i will beat him :P

I THINK I got 50 once... I forget lol. I still have the 300 CD gave for the maintenance issues and I'm up to around 550 now. We'll get there bro... slow and steady.
