As the owner of a new Dirk I agree his stats are way too low. But I think we actually all knew what we were getting into at the beginning of this. In fact, I remember you posted a handy dandy comparison of Dirk and the other Rivals cards so that we could all clearly see how much lower Dirk's stats were than the others.



Does it suck that Dirk and Kidd's stats are not very good? Of course. But I think many of us knew this going into Rivals and still choose to grind our week away.



Dirk helps my lineup (by replacing Epic Dirk!) so I'm happy with what I got. If the next Rivals helps my lineup, then I'll play. If it doesn't, I won't (or just play less).

Posts like these will be more of a reason for CD to not change anything. I for one will not accept this. Dirk's stats, as we saw in the rewards section, had great offense to start with. In fact it was going to be very close to the new Legendary Lebron's offense which I was good with. The cards came and they were trained and ended up no where close to what we thought it would be. I will say this one last time, we were told the Rivals cards would be better than Legendary cards and that is not the case anymore.

We should focus on Dirk stats. This is CD, they can say "you're unhappy, we'll add an animation, look it's great!!" maybe they add 300 credits for crappy stats!!

Dirk doesn't grade out that well currently in the console nba2k14 so you can probably thank their ratings for dirks rival and epic cards. He is overall is like 6th among active power forwards. That said for rivals cards they should try to take the peak of the player imo and the general boost for being a rival card should be higher. Dirk is way too low atm. You can see almost all of the general ratings in this game reflected in the console stats as well.

I like these teams a lot but change the epics to lillard and Crawford. I also had an idea of clippers and warriors

I think you make a great point. Rivals should be based on the best year they had. I believe that is the best possible idea.

So from now on I'm going to go to the console and look at their ratings before I bother.

Yeah I edited it and just remembered about Hornacek.

But LA has been with that team for a while now and will definitely go down as one of the top Blazers in franchise history. I see them retiring his number in the future.

One thing i kind of find funny after reading this is, your happy it helps your season lineup but do you realize all this did was improve your chances of winning a season. And what do we get for winning a season? Exactly, an epic. We seem to keep working so hard to essentially ensure we get an EPIC at the end of our season. What a viscous cycle we all can't seem to get out of. It's like what's the point. Smh.

I actually agree with this as well. But I hope one day that they'll improve seasons so I'm mostly building for the future. And considering Rivals Dirk improved my lineup, you might imagine that Epic Pros would still improve my lineup as well! So for now, I'll take as many Epics as I can get.

At the end of the day, it's just a game. Play it if you have fun playing it. Don't play it if you're not enjoying yourself. It still hasn't lost it's luster for me. And epics are still exciting for me. So I'll keep playing it.

People do not start "accepting" the cards stats we received. NWGD told us that the Rivals cards would be better than the Legendary cards and would be the best cards in the game. We all just found out that was a huge lie.

Haven't you notices most of the things he says are lies though. He claims the LB are fixed every time he is asked about them since day one of the last event yet we all know that's a lie.

I want to take a minute to formally apologize for all the negativity. I was just frustrated to the point that over night I considered deleting the game. Here are a few reasons why and after this I am back to my old self.

I am a collector and was really enjoying collecting all the cards in the game with the catalog. I even kept a word document of what I still needed to complete the catalog. Now for the 3rd and 4th time my catalog has been wiped out. I spent a ton on this game for cards and now they are all gone.

Rivals is a great way for the community to compete for the top prize and I am very competitive so I freaking love it. We were all advised that the Rivals cards would be better than a Legendary card and the Rivals Pro cards would be unbelievable. Kobe Bryant is a great card, but we did not have a chance to pro it. That right there said basically none of us would ever be able to complete the catalog, so the end game is crushed. Tim Duncan Pro Rivals is a great card for season line ups because he is so balanced. MJ Pro Rivals is in a league of its own! Ewing Rivals Pro is decent but I have several Legendary cards that are much better. Now the Dirk Pro Rivals, what happened?! This card is worse then several Epic Pro cards and is ranked the 19th best card out of my Legendary cards, just slight better than my Legendary Pro Bird.
