Why would OKC and Seattle be featured as rivals? They're the same team, just different city and logo. Pitting them as rivals is essentially the same as saying that the '07 Lakers and the '08 Lakers are rivals.

I'm not saying the rewards wouldn't be great, but it wouldn't be a "rivals clash"

The other semi-finals is really getting interesting in my season. Both games, both teams were full energized and the #2 seed won both but i bet the #3 seed is pissed. First game, 3 seed has 300 point better offense, 200 better defense, 11 better BC and -37 mental (still lost). Second game 300 better offense, 150 better defense, 100 better BC, -47 mental and lost again.

Wonder if its just bad luck or home court advantage. Either way hope that series doesn't go too long.

This may be a little personal, but how much money has everyone spent on this app?

The reason I'm curious is because of how expensive the packs/countless "hot streaks" are. I've played roughly 8,000 quick games and 10-12 seasons and--without spending any money--my lineup is MILES from being half as good as a disturbing amount of players.

Hats' off to the guys at CD and 2K for creating such a lucrative "companion app"

You could just mis-match position a few games to get all your players to 0 energy then you probably won't win many games for a while.

You could just do the math for some things... i.e. RC clash, i did the math a few pages back.

Basically let say the average credit spent for the top 125 was 20k (i think 125 cut off was 18k, i know top 50 cutoff was 23k, top 25 was 30k). But lets just say they average out to 20k and probably most of the top 125 played exclusively or almost exclusively with HS (i didn't and finished 45... i actually played most of the week with 1 HS not used so i wouldn't buy any by mistake, only started keeping 0 in the last 30 minutes).

Lets assuming the rate is 2500 = $20 (cost for epic/legendary pack and that's how much it cost from what i gather from this thread). That means $160 = 20,000 credit so most in the top 125 spent at least $160.

As far as legendary goes, there's posts claiming to not get 1 legendary in 10+ epic packs while others say its 5. Either way, its not all that common and to get 5000+ rating, you pretty much need all pro versions, that means those with 5000+ are either extremely lucky (plus played since last year) or spent more money on the app than it would cost to buy both XBOX 1 and PS4.

I actually think this App might be making more money than the actual NBA 2k14 game itself considering the average price of the game is $60 but the retailer gets 33% of that (so developer only sees $40).

Yeah it wouldn't be too surprising, especially now that you mention the likelihood of getting a legendary card from the epic pack. There's been a few RCs now that I know of, so that accounts for a nice chunk as well. The only thing I would imagine would put the console-game revenue higher is the size of that market vs that of the companion app.

But either way, I thought it was interesting how much money must be spent on this app, and I was just curious about how much some of the top players have invested. And I'll be honest, it's pretty annoying that a player will never be able to compete at the top without spending a pretty penny.

I'm jealous of the marketers though who discovered this ingenious avenue to hoard massive revenue from the 2K community. I wonder if they play MyTeam Mobile while they're sitting in their expensive condos counting their money

I finally found a season that is pretty fair. The highest is only 200 from me. Plus i feel like this is going to be my first win season. The only bad thing is tht i would prolly be 2nd in standings but school.. lol

The only fact you can read from this statement is that you can finish Top 50 without buying HS. I think the majority of the Top 125 has spend an average of 0 dollars for HS. Now you can think whatever you want.

I think most people (including me) don't spend any money to get in 125, money might be needed for 50, but not for 125, 125 is pretty easy to achieve, you just need like 6-7 hours a day
