Yeah... This update REALLY screwed over the free players, who were able to improve their decks through RC.

Big spenders got their advantage taken, but they can pay to regain it. Shout out to Cat Daddy on the cash grab.

The guys who just built their deck on Rivals cards, and Legends from RC... those guys just lost their advantage, and will have to KEEP grinding RC all over again, because their RC v1 cards are ho-hum now, and their Legend Pros are gonna be commonplace in a month or so.

But you guys keep thinking this is helping.

I also find it funny that they keep saying they just balanced the game for the weaker teams. Um.... No they didn't, they actually increases the gap. And the so called increased drop rates % are still under lock and key, guarantee they changed them only the tiniest bit, just so they could say they raised them.

How naive are you? You will not have a shot at a good deck ever unless you spend money. Keep thinking you have a chance at a good deck now. Even if you grind hard during rivals to get good cards, they will just update it in a few months again and make these new RC cards obsolete like they have the last.

It depends on your definition of a good deck. Quick Games and Rivals are matched to your deck anyway so you can always compete with who the server puts you against. My definition of a good deck would be some of my favourite players. Id like a MJ, AI, Larry Johnson, Durant and Olajawon lineup. Thats all people really want is a chance to get their favourite players. Its a card collecting game that had become no fun because all of the best players were almost unatainable.
Basically all I want is a little golden surprise every now and then from the QG draft board. And under the old system i still havent had one after 65,000 attempts.

I understand just fine what they did. I have played over 40,000 games and spent over $800 on packs. Also played in every RC except the first. And I havent drafted a Legend yet through QG's.
Do I wish i had started playing the game now with the new systems, rather than all that time/money under the older unfair system? YES I DO. But that doesnt change the fact that this newer version is better. It definitely feels like a slap in the face to those that have slaved over this game for so long without much reward, but i would rather that and a much better chance at getting some good cards in the future than continue with the way the game was.
It seems like the vets wanted this game to continue on being extremely unbalanced as it was in their favour. Now that everyone has a better chance to get good cards and possibly catch up and compete they are up in arms.

Actually it depends on your definition of a "good line-up" because what was the best cards now isn't the best anymore. A 3000+ line-up now is like a 2000+ before the patch. A 6000+ line-up now would be equal to a 5000+, etc. The gap between the "have" and "have not" actually increases rather than decrease. Yes you're line-up is better but this isn't a single player game. You might have a bigger gap vs those who play more casual than you or spend less than you but those who spend more than you will only increase their gap.

Then you are correct, you fall under the category of players that do benefit but if you're competitive and want the best (statistic) line-up its now much harder.

Not everyone spends money to get to the top 25... i already proved that with screenshots of my record before and after RC (basically 7000+ win difference last time aka do the math x5.4 and you'll come up with my point total). Also multiple by 5.4 because regardless of how bad your luck is, you'll draw some HS so its not exactly 5. There are other forum members who have done this before.

Also read my post above about this actually making it harder for those who don't want to spend money. Now of course if all the spenders quit, then the reverse might be true but the App won't last long without spenders (no profit = no point it keeping it running).

You are correct that this does (to a degree) resets the top decks as others now will be able to compete for top deck instead of Twista having the top deck because playoff cards would rival RC pro cards that he has. But remember he earned those cards (despite spending an insane amount of money, it takes time). You can't actually say its fair for someone to spend the same amount of money he spent on RC alone + no time at all to have pretty much the exact same line-up (and i'm talking about a $1000 'cause my guess is he averages $400-$500 per RC)... so he has every right to be pissed. Not to mention the fact MJ is likely no longer the best player in the game makes little sense.

The fact there was no warning on playoff cards also piss a lot of people off. KD (last RC) was one of the most heated RC ever (based on pics, 2nd to only MJ)... i bet if everyone knew a new tier was coming up 1 week later, the scores would've been a lot lower (i mean 50+ to win, thats basically buying ~50k credit or 45k+ min even if he drafted a lot of HS). Smart move in terms of making money, horrible PR move (as reflect by the forum today).

And the explaining that is done... wow its not good. But it works, for now, on people not understanding the sracture. Or having trouble with basic numbers. Preferably both.

What does that have to do with anything... lol I haven't won a season in 7 seasons lol... all that means is the matchmaking doesn't work. It keeps matching me up with trucks. Which I'm pretty sue NW said they would address in a future update. Its a free to play game that I haven't spent any money on so I have no reason to "come in here and cry about". Its just silly two events ago people were complaining about Dirk's Rivals card being too weak but now the cards are too strong. I've came to the conclusion that some people are just looking for sonething to complain about. I don't care if they come out with newer better cards every month it gives me something to play for. Twista is just mad he's not gonna be able to hoard all the good cards and you guys defend him like he's some god. Its not like if you guys keep playing you won't still end up with the best cards anyways. Dont you wanna upgrade your deck or are you content with your active cards always being your best cards and no place to improve. Try to see the good in this update and stop hating.

Generally, most, like everything else, describe a deck as good by the strength of their cards. But hey, to each his own.

I never have and never will spend money on this game. It's just a game to begin with, and growing at a slow and steady pace is more fun and exciting than grinding like crazy and spending money. Why rush? I really feel sorry for those who have wasted their lives grinding 10 hrs/day and thousands of dollars on RC events. Life is too short for this torture.

I would like to know how someone expects this update to improve upon their deck without spending money, besides the RC events. The drop rate increase? CD has not elaborated on the actual % increase. I guarantee it was minute, as in you won't see much of a difference. They just did it so they could say they increased it. Pretending they are trying to make it easier for everyone.

Not everyone posting is mad... if you look through my posts today, i have been objective but i just find it funny that most who like this patch or praising it for making it more competitive aren't looking at the big picture and how advertised advantages are actually not disadvantages unless you plan on spending a decent amount of money now.

Free players can get better cards = true but guess what, they face even better cards and likely harder to get (like i said, before you can get legendary pro from RC, now you can only get single playoff cards... there's no chance of getting #1 without spending money, there is a chance of getting top 25). Also only top 25 get top tier cards now but before, it was top 250 (legendary was top tier)... again a huge difference for those who are looking for the "best" cards.

Unless everyone suddenly stops spending after today, the actual results of the patch probably will surface in the near future and those who were praising it would probably be the same complaining. The real benefits of the patch is 120 card slot vs 100 but even that isn't working for android users (works fine for iOS). Otherwise, this patch is either same or worst for majority except for CD, those who just want to collect cards, and those who want to spend money now (but those who spend money now will likely be the biggest complainers if there is another tier or a clean slate...).

Drafted 2 epics in less than 500 picks, could just be coincidental luck or the odds are generously increased.
