I haven't spent anything because like I said, its a free game. And it seems like they could care less about all you guys spending thousands of dollars into a virtual card game that will be reset when 2k15 comes out. So what exactly is your point?

CD is a business. They only care about paying customers, just like any other business.

Sup guys!

After thinking a lot since yesterday, I've decided that this update is the perfect time for me to quit the game.

I thought about it many times, because when you feel that the game is more a job (during Rivals basically) than a enjoying time it becames a problem. And after the version 1.18, now I see that all the time and effort that many of us we've put was a total waste. New playoff cards far better than the old ones and of course freaking stupid new versions for Rivals cards. So from now, only ten games at day to win the VC for the console game and thats all (Yeah! If you're in my season, the truck is leaving the competition lol)

I'm leaving the card catalog section too, no point in continue asking for cards, cut them, resizes them,etc. and then like 100-150 new cards are released. So I'm going to put the catalog in the website like the old one but with all the cards that we have at the moment. If anyone wants to continue my work is free to do it

You did a great job bro! Sad, really, but the signs were all there.

Sad that many vets are quitting but i disagree that the signs were there unless you are being sarcastic.

I mean the entire time leading up to the patch, there was no talk at all about a new tier. The only hint was a post saying the playoff is a great time (which now means playoff tier). Even when tier expansion was announced, the rewards did NOT include playoff cards and the rewards stated were different than now (that was just 1 week ago). All the focus on this patch was about drop rate improvement, season rewards, etc (basically all the signs that end game was near not a "restart" button or basically a new formula to see if it works). Like i said earlier today (or i guess yesterday), this is another beta test like RC probably was... if it works, there probably won't be a clean slate but more tiers added (i.e. 2015). If it doesn't, well the season is almost over so clean slate for NBA 2k15 app.

Remember since this is a server side game, its very easy to carry over to 2k15 (as simple as just copy all the mobile side code over and point the same server) but at the same time if things go badly, CD could always go with a clean slate and hope gamers return/forget/don't know about the tests done during 2k14. Use that info to continue to max profit and continue doing so. The key here is how many players will remember/still be pissed when next season starts.

Well all the moves leading to this were implemented to tilt it more and more in CD favour. Which is legitimate, but there should be a line. But again supply-demand.

Guess since i didn't experience most of the moves, i probably missed them all. I thought about this patch (leading up to it) was always being the "end game" patch that many game release before an expansion or game ends and another one is coming out to replace it.

Playoff tier caught my by surprise, tho as a programmer and being a pretty recent grad (i.e. studied pay to win model extensively), i understand the move to try to prolong/gain additional revenue from it. Tho the way this is handle looks like it'll be a PR nightmare unless players have no long term memory (which if Wreckingball is correct, that isn't happening). Funny thing is despite this being a patch that benefits CD more than the player, there are still players (proven in this thread today) that believes the patch benefits them more because on the surface (and all info leading to patch) makes it seem like cards are easier to get (which is true for all older card, false for new cards).

It would be interesting if say top 300 would not take part in rivals for example...

I dunno about you guys but I still have 100 cards deck instead of 120 and I can't see the 90% of the cards...
