Posted this in the other forum but figure i should post it here too... the reward structure really should be changed to:

#1 - RC Pro, Playoff Pro, Playoff Support
#2 - 10, RC, Playoff Pro, Playoff Support
#11 - 25, RC, Playoff Pro, Legend Support
#26 - 50, RC, Playoff, Legend Support
#51 - 150, RC, Legendary Pro
#151+ same as now (its highly popular to a point where its #tank4pro).

Reasoning... if CD want competition/everyone to go all out, the reward needs to be better @ higher level. The best card in this RC was the legendary pro (and by a decent margin). Reward structure above for the most part makes sense (could make argument for top 50 vs 51-150 but CD values higher tier single > lower tier pro, reason there is a support card added in to try and balance things).

Lol, if I was on the brink of top 650, I would've played nonstop... heck, I had a 200 rank lead on 650 and I grinded to the end. Mainly cause i didnt trust the leader board. And I didn't see him say anything about hotstreaking to the end.

But remember the difference between those spot was minor (reason you kept grinding) meaning he only needed a small percentage to lose more games than him/play +3 games while he play +5 (etc). Given the small difference, its not impossible to close the gap (actually you could argue its pretty easy).

Of course i don't know how fast he plays nor his average pace per hour but its safe to assume he could out do those sleeping/tired and safe to assume he's at least faster than a few. Remember we are not talking about a race @ 125/150 tier but rather 650. That's a lot more players you could pass instead of the few near the 125/150 borders. I think up until the end, there were quite a few comments about how a single +5 game could move 10-20 spots.

To be fair, if he was planning on playing the entire time, there's a decent chance that at least 48 players fall into 1 of the following category:

1) Play slower than him so he might pass them even if they are playing (remember the gap is very small so its not hard to gain on someone if you are faster than them... there are faster and there are slower players, since we don't know how fast he is, assume he's average, he'll still be faster than some).

2) Some can't play at the time of course so they'll be easy to pass.

3) Different time zone = a few might already be in bed (again time zone advantage/disadvantage... the way RC works, generally Euro time zone have a slight advantage as it starts for them in the morning and ends for them @ night... some might have turned in already)

Basically if he was playing the entire time, good chance he could make the tier. Its not a sure thing but quite likely... more so considering how close 151 - 650 was.

650 = highly unlikely to be HSing, again those competing for the spots there are more likely to be "causal" players than HSers... more so most of the players that normally would HS were likely sitting in the high 100s, low 200s range.

For HSers that generally fight for top 125, 50, 25, 10, etc... 9k or so can be done in 1 day. Heck i was over 10k by the time i went to bed on Thursday morning (and i did sleep on Wednesday too, dropped from #2 or 3 down to 22).

Basically the level of competition @ 650 is likely a lot lower so if you are determined to make a tier, its a lot more doable than say trying to close a 200 point gap @ top 25. That said, of course he could go on a slump and lose a bunch of games and like you said, others behind him could be faster than him. The problem is, he never got a chance to see it through and that's why so many border players (that just missed a tier) are pissed. The opportunity to catch up was stolen from them (more so when the final few minutes, the server were down... i was still doing daily QGs!! >.>).

Nice.... I mean atleast we get to see the stats... hopefully he trained him correct... that's a sick defense.

He has a very good line-up so its safe to assume he knows what he's doing. One of the reasons i didn't even try to chase him down... pretty sure if he tried, even if we both HS, he could out pace me (he had better cards for sure to do this).
