Drop rates dont change, they havent changed rates since the update 2 months ago. NWGD has said many times they dont touch the drop rates, it just seems that way when you experience bad/good luck. Its just your luck that has changed. If you draft 9 epics in a day, you may go a week without one. And while you may be experiencing a drought, others have drafted 3 or 4 epics today.

So apparently I'm third best in this season, but first game in I was down in the first quarter. I don't think they show the best people at bottom before the season starts anymore.

Yea the majority of players will be in the 3-5k range with epics so common now. So it makes sense you got matched up quickly. Not sure if the seeding still works after update though, used to rank decks from bottom to top befor the end of the first game so you could spot sandbaggers, not sure if thats been changed.

I don't think so game 1 I played the guy 3 on the list and he was 4500 all the way down

Are you playing your top 15 players? Are they all leveled? Remember matchmaking works off of what is in your Collection, not what you put in the Season. If you don't play your top cards in Season it will still match you based on those.
