So it's been pretty much established that we can expect to get one Epic card on average, every 2000 picks, correct?

If that's the case, why is one Epic in 400 picks somehow BS?

Some of you just had silly expectations going into this.

Well I was definitely one of the people that had silly expectations lol. By "drastically", I thought picking an Epic was going to come, not as often, but close to as often as a Rare card. After I went through all of my 550+ picks though and came away with 2 Epic's, I did realize that my optimism got the best of me lol. Judging by a lot of people's responses here, I think they stepped into it with the same assumptions I had. Our expectations were way too high and the excitement made us delusional. The peeps I find a little hard to argue with though are some of the ones who racked up 1k-2k picks. Some came away with only 1-3 Epic cards. If I'm not mistaken, one person even came away with no Epic cards at all. I'm not upset about it, although it wasn't what I had hoped. But I could definitely see why some people would be.

btw haven't I played you in the Finals or Conf Finals a season or two ago? lol

I tried to but it said they're in season and it wont give me the option to combine :/. So I just used both lol

lol I see. Damn that sucks. By turning him Pro and adding another player to your roster, you probably would've increased all of your stats by 100+.

I was that guy that saved 1000 picks and didn't get an epic, or was it 1002 lol, and after that I played another 50ish games so about 1100 picks no epic in that 2 hours.

It is bs since I've had 0 epic or legendary cards since xmas, thats like 4000 wins and nothing to show for it. For all I know this card was supposed to happen regardless of this nonsense. An no, nothing has been established , chances of pulling anything decent has been reduced by A LOT since they released those fking epic packs, it's very obvious. Basically, as everyone expected, this app has become a pay to win game with no skill or dedication required. Every season has at least one person who basically has bought a team and they're guaranteed a season win and the main prize. Rich get richer and the rest can go fk themselves since it's pointless even trying from the get go. RIP.

Even 1-2 epics within 500 draft picks is a huge improvement for 2 hours. Most people are averaging 1 epic per 2000-3000 currently.

Hoping for epics at the same rate is rares is extremely unreasonable, and probably business suicide for their company. I only got 1 epic support card myself within 450 picks, but I'm still happy they gave us the short boost for helping them test their servers. People have bought these cards for $20 per card (and a chance at a legendary), so it would be a huge slap to their users if they started freely handing out expensive cards to everyone.

edit: On a sidenote EyeGotSoul, I really hope they award you a legendary somehow. Playing 30,000 games and not getting one is insane bad luck, and I hope you do get rewarded soon enough.

Again, I ran through 500 picks myself, without drafting an epic card. Not 1-2k, but enough. I just understand that no matter how "drastically" they upped the rate on drops, it was never gonna be actually LIKELY that I was gonna draw one.

We've all gone through droughts of a few thousand picks with no Epics. Increasing the odds from THAT doesn't automatically equate to some guarantee that everybody gets an Epic.

Not to mention, for most of us, getting Epic cards is just a moral victory anyway. They don't actually improve our decks (unless we get one particular card), so what's the big deal anyway?

I just personally think we need to cut the devs some slack. I have my issues with certain aspects as well, but atleast one of the devs is kind enough to post on here and take our suggestions into consideration. Personal attacks (a few pages back) should have no place in this thread.

It was only for two hours. Nobody expected epics to be given away at the same rate as energy cards ffs. Epics are worthless on their own anyway, people buy those packs for legendaries, so I doubt it would have made much difference to those who paid money, they would still have much better rosters than people who get handed a couple of epic cards. Nothing unfair about that. You gotta admit 2k overhyped this like everything else ever.

No was was asking them to give out freely epic cards to every1. All i was hoping was a reasonable boost to epic drops. Something like 1 out of every 10 boards is an epic. This thing lasted only for 2 hours and with the server lag and issues realistically people got to play got 100 minutes. Anyway thats over and done.

On a sidenote, eyegotsoul DID draft a legendary jerry west if im not mistaken. Too lazy to go back few pages to make sure it was him.
