IMO: I think it was us who overhyped this event, not 2k. All they did was post an event and said that the drop rate for epics were going to be increased. Between the devs and ourselves, we have a different perspective of how large the drop rate was. To them it was probably a lot, but to some of us it was little.



Even though I say "us", i'm not including myself because I won a legendary, but I understand where everyone else is coming from when they didn't win the epic they wanted, or any at all. Although, I've been wondering...they specifically said the rate of "Epic" cards would be increased, not legendary. So unless changing the rate of epics is relative to legendaries, I don't think it was this event that contributed to people achieving Legendaries except sheer luck.

I completely agree, the dev himself said this is really to test out their servers so they can increase them, and when he said the epic drop rate would increase he did not specify at all how much he would be increasing them by

I am having the same problem with Gamecenter. I drew legendary Shawn Kemp last week and don't have the achievement. Maybe it means (but does not say) a Pro legendary card. Also! This is my inaugural post. Hello new Internet community.

They did say "drastically". That term creates expectations. High ones. But they have a benefit of the doubt from me, for now...

Well technically it said "drastically". Not a concrete number so it's open to interpretation, so it is a word choice that will have most people forming different ideas of what that rate should be. I think the worst thing pr wise is that it is hard to truly identify or see the increased rate, if you weren't one of the ones who got say 2 or more epics. For people who got none it can feel pretty bad and feel like a sham even if the rate really was increased. I think an overall rare to energy increase (which increased epic chance by default) to something like 50/50 energy to rare would have "felt" better for most players. Plus there are a fair amount of people who can still use rares (I'd still like a second Thad young). It is a lot easier to see the increase then.

Has anyone had a problem with subbing players in a season? I can't sub anyone new in or switch any of my active/inactive players. It looks like it switches everyone but then it resets them for the next game. I have to use 8-10 energy cards after each game to keep a decent score. Not to mention I have 2 players playing out of position...

Btw, 250 picks during time frame yesterday, no epics but 3 (!!!) Kahwi Leonard rares...

I had about 150 picks yesterday, I got 1 rare and a bunch of energy. I was a lil disappointed but, afterwards I did a few more and got Jpsh Smith so it wasn't too bad.

Congrats! I'm in the finals right now and I "should" win so I'm hoping to get either 2 Scottie Pippen Epics or at least 2 epics I already have that hopefully improve my team.

The main problem that I have is that NWGamedad contradicts himself when he talks about card drops. One post to EyeGotSoul he says that there eventually is a standard deviation and at some point we should all have even-ish cards and that cards are predetermined for people (and thus hoarding picks doesnt improve rate for better cards). But then epic drop rate is increased? How? Clearly some benefitted and most didnt (600 picks and no epic for me), but this contradicts predetermined cards. Unless now those people that drafted 2+ epics wont get anything good again for 10k picks lol.

Theres just wayyyy too much mystery to this app right now and honestly that is what keeps me from spending money on it. Just disappointed.

I think some people are expecting way too much from a free companion mobile app that basically acts as an advertisement for the core game. If you had any amount of fun with it at all, you're already ahead of the game.
