We have to take kobe at his word though. If the man say he healthy...he healthy. im not saying we playoff bound by no means but im saying I think we would be better than the wolves. You right we arent psychics.... but I am not gonna apologize for being an optomistic fan lol but yes it would be foolish to not be realistic and say kobe is gonna be 100 percent. But nothinf wrong with hoping

As a whole, the Spurs are the better team because they have better chemistry, a superior coach, and have players that check their egos at the door. There's a reason the Spurs beat Miami in 5 this year.

You should take the time. The situation with Lin was no different than the situation with Flip Murray circa ~2005, sans social media hype and the team being the Knicks vs Sonics. You can be very knowledgable at times yet naive at others. That said the difference will be Kobe, who is an undeniable master at his craft.

Oh of course I understand that, just don't think it's fair for some people to be so aggressive towards others in a debate over something they don't know the likelihood of either. I take kobe at his word too, he probably is healthy.....right now on August 25th, 2014. We have no idea what could happen during the season that could turn 100% into 50 or 40%. Just like when he came back the first time or when rose came back and eventually got hurt again

I agree. To me its just fun to debate. Not that serious to cuss ppl out or name call over. Kind of over that which is why I just laugh at ppl gettin emotional. But you rigjt about kobe. Which is why I can't wait for the documentary. Should be pretty good I think.

Btw yall should check out lance freestyle lol its actually not as bad as most athletes. Kinda funny to me tho lol

Because he would not be able to sustain that type of level, and that was proven. He was decent. He played a role on his team. But he was not better than others at the same position who fulfill their role and make their teams better.

Mason/Ariza versus Flip probably is not even fair, because the gap between those guys was much smaller than it would be for the difference between Rubio and Lin. There is no way that the Wolves would do a Rubio for Lin swap, but I am sure the Lakers would in a heart beat, just as I am sure the true Laker fans would be dancing in the streets if that was ever to happen.

Lin is by no means an elite defender but he isn't terrible. In the Portland series, he stayed with Lillard and made him put up some tough shots. Also, Rubio may be a good passer but he is a huge liablity on offense. Granted he has only been in the NBA for three years, he has yet to shoot over 40%.

The Lin trade was one of the few bright spots this year for Laker Nation. Not only did the Lakers land a decent point guard, but they also got a first and a second round pick and all they gave up was the rights to Sergei Lishchuk. Plus, lets say Lin is just terrible. It's no big deal because his contract will come off the books. So yeah, low risk and high reward.

I can see Chicago upsetting the Cavs. Chicago was the best defensive team in the NBA last season. The lack of offensive options is what killed them. With the addition of Mirotic, Gasol and McDermott, and the return of the Rose, Chicago should make a serious run this season.

Agreed. As long as Rose stays healthy, they have a good shot at beating the Cavs. The Cavs will be a better offensive team, but they will struggle defensively, Lebron is the only perimeter defender, Love, Irving and Waiters aren't so good defensively. The Bulls' defense will pretty much stay the same, which was already great, but their offensive will improve quite a bit.

Idk if that would be an upset though. Chicago been pretty consistent. Miami may not of went to the finals had they ran into them with a healthy d rose. Will definitely be an interesting season though

I hope the Mavs can win another title because I don't want LeBron to win another one especially because he doesn't deserve one and I want KD and Westbrook to be the next Stockton and Malone. I don't like the Spurs.
