Question. Should I enhance both cards then combine, or combine then enhance? Does it make a difference?

Do not enhance if you know you're going to Combine. Enhancements are destroyed when you combine cards. They are added to your stats always last, so having them on before combining does not raise the new card's pro starting stats. They are always just a +5 or +15 per enhancement. They do not affect leveling of cards either.

That's what gamedad guy said on Twitter. I guess they don't want people unexpectedly jumping up 1000 points in their stats during a season, which damn near guarantees them a championship. One little thing I wish they would bring back is your teams overall stat totals. Those numbers turning green when I found a better card made me feel good.

Matching is done differently this year. You're matched within your tier, so allowing subbing would completely break that and allow sandbagging during matching. For example, if we allow subbing this would happen...


I have high enough cards to play in the Ultra Rare Season. However, I purposely put cards in my Season to match at the Super Rare tier since if I win I get a Ultra Rare card anyway. Once the Season begins, then I sub in all my good players effectively playing in a Super Rare tier now but with Ultra Rare tier cards. It's simply encourages gaming the system, so subbing was removed.


As for the stat totals, we took them out on purpose. They gave you a completely incorrect view of how well you would do in a Season. Have a few really good cards would spike your overall stats, but you would still lose then be pissed because the total stats said you were high up. Seasons require good cards across the board, which is why we show you detailed recaps now to see where your weaknesses are vs. a total stat value that is misleading.

You were matched up with people depending on your 15 best cards in your deck, so putting in lower cards and subbing in didn't work. By "gaming" the system, I think he meant that people always started a season right before RC ended and subbed in the card(s) they got in RC, I won 5 seasons doing this lol.

This is no longer correct. In MyNBA2K14, you were matched on your 15 best cards in your collection. In MyNBA2K15, you're matched by the 15 cards you place in your Season.

This is no longer correct. In MyNBA2K14, you were matched on your 15 best cards in your collection. In MyNBA2K15, you're matched by the 15 cards you place in your Season.

I was talking about 2K14, but the 2K15 way works since you can't sub in.

I feel like we're forced to enhance just so we don't get a ton of Enhancement cards sitting around eating up all our space in our decks.

I've probably used about 20 enhancements on players I will never use (or have gotten rid of to level other cards already) just so I have space to get the scrubs to level up the players I want to use. I'm already back up to 10 enhancements.
