Well for me the upside to the Rivals event is playing quick games with a purpose. I mean I'm already playing a bunch of quick games but for what? The slight chance I might actually (finally) get a freaking Legendary card. Realistically speaking all I'm getting out of quick games is a stockpile of energy cards and the occasional rare I have no use for.
Then there is option 2...play a season that takes 3 and half days to complete with the only good reward going to first place. Hey but it was fun getting up every couple of hours in the middle of the night right?
Don't get me wrong I do like this game...it reminds me of the gold old days of opening some packs of cards and hoping for that really good rare. I just wish they game had a little more meat.
And for the love of everything that is reasonable please allow people to just trash cards if you're going to have a 100 card limit. I feel like I'm dumping water from one bucket to another and back again. Cap out at 100 and you can't draft anymore? So now train all your commons/uncommons into another one...ohhh you got your 5th Lopez! Great! now you have a bigger bucket. It will last slightly longer before you actually feed a fully trained level 20 rare back into a common card and rinse and repeat.
Sorry about the little rant there folks but that is easily one of the most annoying parts of this game.
