First UR at the Epic level in about 500 games. Not sure if this is average or not but it feels like I was getting em at a faster clip. Anyway it feels good to see it even though I wished it was a dupe.

I wonder if the star cards will include supports, my guess is yes but if that's the case then I feel sorry for anyone that pulls a non-team support as their freebie. Also, best guesses on what it'll take to reach regular star tier? I'm thinking probably 3 Rc's and 2 Epic Pro's or maybe 2 Legendary pro's and 3 Epic Pros just to name a couple .

Haha, good one. I know you catch a LOT and sometimes unnecessary flak on Twitter and whatnot, but while you're reading this, thanks for responding to users' comments and gripes even though it's not in your job description and keeping us informed about mainetenance etc.

I think I can speak for all forum members...we would love to have the first drop rate release that was live for about 2 hours or so for maybe a few hours? Would be an awesome Christmas gift.

Edit: Also, just like Santa's list, would you mind checking it once, twice, and three times if HS is draftable? Amongst every forum members who have played in both RC's, nobody has drafted a HS. That's ZERO HS spread through at least 10,000 games. I understand they're rare, but the probability of drafting one right now is 0%. =)

The Hot Streak problem is an unfortunate side effect of actually trying to make the experience better for the players. Initially with the new system, there were a lot of complaints about users getting too many Boosts (mostly in WWE SuperCard, but we fixed it in MyNBA2K15). To combat that, we changed the way we calculated your reset card so that Boosts would not have a good chance of appearing vs. a player/support card. It works very well, so that players do not hit the Boost cap too frequently in NBA.


However, the side effect is that HS are counted as Boosts in the system. So, when you pull a reset card during RC events you have a low chance to get a Hot Streak. Additionally, there are 5 stat Boosts already in NBA, so when you add the HS to it you have 6. You multiply the low chance to get a Boost times 1/6 and you end up with HS being REALLY rare. We're talking about ways to fix it without breaking the current Boost to Player ratio we have (which people really like!). In the grand scheme, everyone is at the current disadvantage when it comes to Hot Streaks, so it is "fair" at least. But understand it wasn't an intentional design to nerf HS drops into the ground.

can you explain this to me? I cannot pull anything above super rares in nearly 800 games in leg++ after i drafted back to back epics the other day, was i just too lucky and my drop rates got nerfed?

It's just luck. We don't change the drop rates based on what you pull, other than the new counter system to help you get a guaranteed top tier drop. You're just experiencing random is all.

The RC will happen the week of Christmas. It's a special RC with special rewards. We'll have a regular RC the week after the special one.

Maybe increase the boost cap a little bit?? The HS seems non existent but at least you provided reason as to why we have not seen one.

There are Star rarity supports.

Went 500 games without pulling anything higher than a SR and naturally I pull URs on back to back boards. Let's hope this is the beginning of a good luck run for me
