Anyone have any idea on the ability trigger percentage per tier? In the last 20 games my Star Mutombo's Defense ability has been triggered 2 or 3 times... That's like 10%-15%....

RC Lebron's offense ability is triggered much more often (once every 3-4 games).

Abilities are triggered randomly when the player is played. The chance for the ability to trigger is based on the rarity of the player. Here are the current trigger percentages:

Uncommon - 15%
Rare - 17.5%
Super Rare - 20%
Ultra Rare - 25%
Epic - 30%
Legendary - 33%

Not sure what Star is, it might be out there somewhere though. Maybe 40%? I don't have any stars yet unfortunately, but someday!

It's a shame the TBT packs don't have generally higher rarity cards. Spending 400 creds on a super rare seems.. well, it's only for those who collect the cards.

I'm really banking on the fact there are a lot of these 'collectors'. If they turn out to be worthless on the AH I'm stopping buying them straight away.

I know, Just pulled another UR dupe support of the PM ATH to team. my other two UR supports are OFF to team and OFF + PM to team so Id rather just run the +7 to all stats just in case I need it on last card but to be honest I dont use them often in QG anyway.

I'm really banking on the fact there are a lot of these 'collectors'. If they turn out to be worthless on the AH I'm stopping buying them straight away.

I'm a little leery about the so called idea of "Collectors" I love the game, for whatever reason, I don't know. It brought me to these forums. I've play about 5,000 games, spent about $50 bucks, and I consider myself a top 10% player or what not. Maybe not a die-hard, but I do enjoy it. On top of that, I like completing games. For this game, I originally thought that'd be completing the card catalog. For most, it's things like achievements on Xbox live. While I know no one cares about these but me, I like to collect them and they stay with me forever. I have 8 years of Achievements. I can look at them, my friends can look at them, however, it feels different with the MyNBA2K15 app. Especially considering you cannot really share you catalog with others. There is really no "social" connection to the game outside of these forums. And the only way I found myself here was thanks to Google.

I didn't play last year's version, but I understand it to be similar. And I imagine this game with have a similar fate come this September, and each version each September after that. So how proud would you feel to have spent god knows how much money to complete you catalog in 2K14? An app nobody uses anymore and I'm not even sure if you can still download it. So mentally, I don't really think anyone feels that need to fill their catalog. It just seems like a fruitless exercise. However, this made me consider the true "End-Game"

Simply put, I think it is having the best team overall. These means Star cards, Legends, Pro Epics, and not much else. Including goofy *** sprinkling cards with basketball players wearing stupid tee-shirts and their mouths open and ready to swallow a fist. I've stayed away from these special card buying opportunities and saving my money and credits for the auction house... If it ever opens... and if it isn't too schemey to make us spend a lot more money.

tldr/The people will pay for High powered cards. Not shiny/collectible Rares

You're almost certainly right. You never know though. It's only 1500 credits at this point. Not the end of the world (yet).

Very true. Maybe I just think it's crazy for 500 credits because the two times I spent 2500 credits on epic packs I got a legendary Tim Duncan and legendary Serge Ibaka. I figured if you paid to play Cat Daddy hooked it up. Then I posted that on these forums and was told how LUCKY I got. Now that I'm in Epic seasons, I think I can start winning some legendaries so I don't want to pony up $20 for a chance to get one, and $40 is too much to guarantee it. Although by the same token, I would totally drop $40 for a Star card if I knew I'd get it. Last RC to get a star would have required at least 60 hours or so in the few days. $40 is totally worth 60 hours to me!

No, They are only about half trained. Im not that silly. started the season with half the card, including the Leg pros untrained just to guarantee the win basically. Just taking a while to grind the cards to get them trained up but its at a point where thr leg pros are better then any epic pro so shouldn't have a problem with play offs.

I'm aiming to get as many cards from the card catalog as well but I don't plan on spending any money. I'm just going to wheel and deal in the AH. Use credits earned from selling cards to possibly buy cards that I need to obtain players I don't have. Either way I think AH will be a good addition (given that it's not super glitchy).
