Ugh, just got sandbagged. Peter with ~2k during the season makes the jump to 3.5k+ in the playoffs. Must use the same method as shokase and have 10 leg/ep(pro) and leave 5 dead tired rare(pro) in during the season and just swap out the good cards. Not a bad strategy, may do it myself if i ever get 5 more cards of that caliber.

I knew something was up since he beat me if i wasn't fully charged, but i had 800+ on him... tank:30 hope for a rondo pro... i have yet to get an epic from a pack other than the epic pack, so maybe its my time. But i fully expect a chris wilcox x2...

I have a sandbagger in my season also (George). 2K+ stats during the season, started playoffs as the 6th seed, now on 3K+ stats. About to meet him in the 3rd round. I've been using a line up mixed with rare pros and epic pros playing their normal positions during the season until now to save energy. But next round I'll have to play my top 10 (out of position). Good thing I have lots of energy stored. :-) the number one seed is on the other conference breezing his way through. Hopefully I can match up with him in the finals. Thank goodness for Kobe and Manu. I have a fighting chance. :-)

Sandbagging should have a bit more risk now that they fixed the playoff format. If you have a couple really strong teams and you try it you may meet them in the first round. I don't get the move to sandbag to be honest. If you have a great LU just go crush the other teams.

I'm gonna address a couple posts I saw earlier.

Somebody mentioned that there should be point tiers in Rivals for the rewards.

^absolutely not. The only truly interesting part about the event is that it is a head to head. You aren't beating the system you are beating the player, the game needs more opportunities for true head to heads like this.

A few people have complained about the length of the event.

^If anything it should be longer. It's not designed to flood the game with even more powerful cards on a daily basis. If it were shortened you wouldn't stand a chance against the kid who has no job, isn't in school, and doesn't have any responsibilities. I couldn't compete, between my wife, my job, and my other duties. I play when I can, as do the majority of players, and longer opportunities tailor well to that style while providing those that are dedicated security in their position too.

You'll never hear another complaint from me about this game. They just blessed me with the ultimate gift....im still shocked this guy could even be drafted! And it was a no looker i was just tappin away lol. Although i still want my fav player AI, i cant be mad at this one lol. Not quite rivals clash Kobe but hey i'll take it!

finally got my first epic or legendary card after almost 10000 games played and it so happens to be Chris Mullin lol i was hoping for someone better but he will do.

After eliminating the 91-0 dude in the 3rd round my second most satisfying season was when i walked into the playoffs as a 12th seed. It was fun eliminating the big dogs every round starting from the 1st.

I'm sure. Beating someone with a record like that would be nice. Last season I was worried that would happen to me since I was undefeated going into the playoffs. It's just different strokes for different folks I suppose. I just put my best guys out there and go for it.

Man thats what keeps me going every day lol. The quest for another legend, really just AI and Bron left for me and I dont need anymore. And i would love a few epic pros.

Playing Devil's Advocate on the other though... the game I come from had weekly events, 6 days on with 24 hrs between. If you are assuming that longer events will burn out the diehards... you may be disappointed.

You are correct about card flooding... but no one said more frequently than NWGameDad's 1.5 week window. No need for more cards given... I hope no one is making that argument.

Just caught up on the 70 pages of posts since Friday. Congrats to the Rival Clash winners! Congrats also to the losers, those who didn't spend money, those who did, etc.

I coasted to 280th place and got the twin Kamans for training.

If PeterTosh in the forum plays as Tosh, you're in my season. Better tank!
