Pippen is criminally underrated in almost every circle. This game actually rates him somewhat properly.

I feel like they lowballed him on defense, personally. Prime Pippen was the best wing defender in the game, and his defensive rating doesn't reflect that at all.

Shaq is crazy underrated in this game, but so is every other big man.

EDIT- Next rivalry should be Miami v. Dallas, so there can be a proper Dirk card in this game (though Dallas would clearly lose the clash). Dirk should be Legendary IMO. If you can make Dwight Howard, Dominique Wilkins, Chris Paul, Chris Mullin and Yao Legendary, Dirk needs to be legendary too.

EDIT2- Tim Hardaway is a legend, but not Dirk....

I don't know if Pip is overrated, but Shaq is definitely severely underrated. I mean wow lol the dude was a freak of nature at the C during his time. The league drew up or changed new rules, because of him alone. So yyyeah...289 is a joke.

Big men in general get the shaft in this game. Not just shaq but like Wilt is one of the greatest ballers ever and his card is pretty mediocre. At least Russell gets a ridiculous defense stat. I think it's because of how they translated stats from the console game into cards. The process just isn't that kind to "1 dimensional" scorers even if they were complete beasts like Shaq. For instance his really poor FT shooting probably hurts his offense and mg a little. Basing this on the categories that show up in quick game like Free Throw are O+MG. And of course Shaq wasn't exactly the master of the mid range jumper let alone 3 pter. It's cause they tried to cram a whole bunch of console stats into 4 stats on a card that I think a lot of things come out weird.

I have spent a lot more actually. I just use the epics to train other cards

It's just getting very frustrating, no legendarys drafted in 12k games played (and only 2 epics drafted, both support) and the drop rate from epic packs is getting ridiculous

Makes me wonder how they get the Offense ratings. NWGame said based on the console. Offense maybe based on true shooting percentage? FG% (high for centers/low for guards), FT% (low for centers/high for guards). Perhaps why the SF usually have the best overall offense since they do well on both?

Yep. Pip was undoubtedly a lockdown defender at the perimeter. And whenever he and Jordan would trap anyone at the wing, it was automatically a steal or forced TO. And wtf is Yao doing over there with the Legends anyway? The whole "Legendary" category in this game is just strange to me in general. They need another category between Epic and Legend. Cuz it's weird calling current active players "LEGENDS" when they still have years to show a complete body of work. I think the Legendary cards should only consist of players who've already closed the chapter on their career.

Is it just me or does anyone else play the person that wrecks their season in the 3 or 5 game of the season.

Btw still epic less on the tank strategy 0-4 with this season up next 3 game in.

Second of the top Epic centers in less then 24 hrs. Tapped on him just as my phone was about to die so I had to go back in to show you guys. Needless to say I have been enjoying my first week of this game mode. PS anyone else so used to tapping away you get an epic/legend and tap through it as you notice. Rivals mode got to me.

Yeah, I've noticed the huge marginal difference in the rating of big men in this game probably within the first hour of playing it lol. I'm not sure if they've literally just crunched player statistics in order to determine the card ratings, but if so, that's definitely not a good idea. For instance, like the discussion on Pip, GOOD defense isn't always based on RPG and SPG. Some smothering defenders lock up the opponent by always staying in front of him, forcing tough shots and closing out passing lanes. So they may average less steals compared to another defender who gambles on stealing passes, but gets 15+ points racked up on him every game.

If Yao got to start his career in the NBA and didn't get derailed by injuries he coulda been legendary. The guy was really skilled for someone so big. Mullen is the guy who like doesn't fit legendary in any way shape or form though. I guess maybe Yao would have only been an epic though consider Dirk is only an epic (so far). I do hope they somehow get a Jazz rivalry so they can at least finally do some justice for stockton (how is he NOT a legendary?)

Agreed the legendary category should only include the true legends of the game past or present.
